It was found that the owner of the property was in the process of evicting the tenant from the property and did not think there were any other persons in the residence. The owner was advised.

Officers spoke with the female in question who did not want to go with her counselor and wanted to go to her aunt's house. The female was advised that she had to go with her counselor.

Officers spoke with the caller and found that the identifying documents for the vehicle were taken from the vehicle. The caller was advised to contact the Motor Vehicle Administration to receive duplicates of the documents.

1617 HOURS-Theft From Auto-5400 block 85th Ave.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a theft from auto. Officers spoke with the caller and found that an unknown suspect stole her purse from her vehicle. The caller was advised of her options.

1715 HOURS-HALLOWEEN DETAIL-CITYWIDE- NCPD OFFICERS CONDUCTED A CITYWIDE DETAIL PATROLING THE CITY.

1846 hours- Assist Fireboard6100 block Westbrook Drive- Officers responded to the area for traffic control purposes due to a hanging live wire from an electricity pole. Pepco was notified and a Pepco technician responded to the location and was able to repair the issue without incident.

1924 hours- Vandalism7400 block Riverdale Road -  Officers on patrol and working the Halloween detail canvassed the perimeters of the City yielding negative results for any property damages or suspicious persons.

2025 hours- Residential alarm6000 block 85th Avenue-  there were no signs of forced entry, all the exterior doors and windows were checked secured. There was no answer at the door upon knocking.

2026 hours- Traffic Hazard8300 block of Oglethorpe Street- Officers responded to the location for a large tree branch on the roadway impeding the free flow of traffic. Officers were able to move the tree branch out of the roadway. The City of New Carrollton's Public Works Department was notified of the incident

2039 hours- Suspicious Persons- 8500 block Legation Road- While working the Halloween detail, Officers on duty made contact with several people at the location who did not seem to be partaking in the Halloween festivities. Those people were stopped, identified, advised and sent on their way without incident.

2047 hours- Traffic (Arrest)5800 block Mentana Street- Officers responded to the location for a suspicious occupied vehicle. The odor of burned marijuana emanated from inside the vehicle. Officers did recover a small amount of C.D.S. in plain view inside of the vehicle. It was also discovered that the male did not possess a valid driver's license. The male then elected not to accept his traffic citations and was subsequently transported to Hyattsville Department of Corrections for a presentation of his traffic charges.

 While assisting with the previous call at the same location, an Officer observed a vehicle displaying unregistered plates. The registration plates were subsequently confiscated and placed into NCPD property to be returned to the MVA. Parking citations along with the 72-hour removal sticker were issued to the vehicle.

2320 hours- Hit & RunRiverdale Road & Annapolis Road- Officers canvassed the area yielding negative results for the striking vehicle. There were no injuries observed or reported and the caller's vehicle was still in operable condition. An ACRS report was generated.

Officers are familiar with the elderly male, the caller did not want a Police report, Prior to his escort, the male was advised not to return to the location.

0219 hours- Suspicious unoccupied vehicle- 7800 block Riverdale Road- While patrolling the Heritage Square Apartments, an Officer observed an unattended vehicle with the engine running. The vehicle was not in a parking space, impeding the free flow of traffic. A parking citation was issued to the vehicle. The driver eventually came out; she was advised and the vehicle was removed.

0323 hours- Breaking & Entering8300 block Annapolis Road - Officers discovered the front glass door had been shattered; the store was in disarray, but there was no one inside. Det. Sgt. Robinson arrived on scene. The scene was processed for evidence. The key holder was advised; he remained on scene until maintenance arrived to secure and/or repair the front door. NCPD 3 was apprised on the incident. The incident is currently under investigation.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both drivers, who claimed no injuries while on the scene. Both vehicle was disabled in the roadway and impounded for safekeeping.
