0625 hrs Premise Check – 8400 block Annapolis Rd. Check clear.

 

0711 hrs. Unknown Trouble - 5300 block 85th Ave. Officers were dispatched to the listed location for unknown troubles. Officers canvassed the surrounding area with negative results. 

 

0830 hrs. Premise Check - 8500 Annapolis Rd. Check clear.

 

0920 hrs. Welfare Check – 7700 block Riverdale Rd. Officers were dispatched to the listed location for an individual calling in and saying that they were sick and needed help. Upon arrival, officers were at first unable to make contact with the individual but made entry via a spare key. Once inside, offices spoke with the individual who advised they were feeling the effects of drinking. The individual refused police and medical services. No report. 

 

1015 hrs. Premise Check - 8500 block Annapolis Rd. Check clear. 

 

1141 hrs. Dispute – 7300 block Oakcrest Dr. Officers responded to the listed location for a dispute between family members. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties and were advised that the incident was strictly verbal. Officers advised the father of how to evict his son from the property. No report.

 

1253 hrs. Unknown Trouble – 6100 block 85th Pl. Officers responded to the listed location for an unknown trouble call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female half who was advised how to obtain a protection order and how to file for custody. No report. 

 

1310 hrs. Threats Complaints – 5800 block Oland Dr. Officers were dispatched to the listed location for online threats. Officers were at the location on 3/5/21 for a similar call and again advised the complainant on what to do. No report.

 

1342 hrs. Accident- 8400 block Annapolis Rd. - Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident and conducted an information exchange.

 

1420 hrs. Check Welfare- Riverdale Rd./ Annapolis Rd. Officers responded. Called advised a male was asleep at the wheel blocking traffic. The driver left the area before officers arrived. No report.

 

1515 hrs. Premise Check- 8400 block Annapolis Rd. Checked clear.

 

1530 hrs. Check Welfare-5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. - Officers responded. Male caller advise he hadn’t spoken to his sister or nephew, and he received information that his nephew had recently expired. The caller was requesting an update. Officers spoke with the female in question who confirmed that her son had recently expired. However, she advised she did not have a brother by the name of the caller. No information was divulged to the caller by members of this department. No report.

 

1630 hrs. Premise Check- 7500 block Goodluck Rd. Checked clear.

 

1730 hrs. Premise Check- 8400 block Annapolis Rd. Check clear.

 

1755 hrs.,, 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ 911 hang-up call, call taker stated there was a child on the line who called several times.  Call taker stated they did not hear any signs of a struggle, however when asked the child refused to put an adult on the line.  Several attempts were made to call back but the line was busy.  The call taker finally was able to speak to an adult and discovered everything was fine the child was just playing with the phone.  Officers were cancelled prior to arrival.  No Report.

 

1815 hrs., Cozi Furniture/ Disorderly, caller was management who stated there was a couple in the store wanting the furniture or a refund and were becoming disorderly.  Officers arrived and spoke to the couple who stated they were upset because they needed the couch they ordered and it was supposed to be in, in December.  They stated they called several times and each time were told two more weeks.  When they went to the store today they were told it would be the end of June, they got upset and asked to have the floor model, for which the store refused to clean and provide to them.  Officers advised them to contact the manager on Monday and if that was not satisfactory to call the corporate office and explain the complaint.  Civil Matter No Report.

 

1846 hrs., 6400 block Carrollton Ct/ Disorderly, caller stated a male was following him home to his residence at the location of the incident.  Officers spoke to both parties and one side was extremely intoxicated and would not listen to what officers had to say.  The other party did live on the street and just so happened to follow the caller onto the street.  It was a misunderstanding due to the caller being intoxicated.  No Report.

 

1905 hrs., Westbrook Dr at Legation Ct/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, while on patrol officers observed a vehicle parked at the dead end of the street in the "No parking Zone."  Officers approached the vehicle and began to speak to the driver.  When officers asked the driver questions he became very upset and argumentative.  He stated he was just eating dinner in his vehicle, even though he lives in the city.  When attempting to check on his welfare he again became argumentative, officers advised him he was illegally parked and needed to move his vehicle.  A parking ticket was issued and Report written

 

1924 hrs., 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Vehicle Accident, officers located the accident and observed it was minor.  Both vehicles had minor damage and neither party claimed injury on scene.  Information was exchanged between both parties and both vehicles were driven off of the scene.  No Report.

 

1928 hrs., Darcars Dodge/ Disorderly, caller stated a customer was getting aggressive with employees.  The customer was with family attempting to purchase a vehicle.  The sale went through, however she became very upset and refused to complete paperwork properly to be able to take the vehicle.  The customer grabbed the keys and went to the vehicle in an attempt to drive it off the lot when workers stopped her, due to her confusion and strange behavior.  They were afraid of her getting into an accident.  When the customer became upset and began to hit, yell, and refuse to get out of the vehicle.  The manager at this time refused to sell her the vehicle and cancelled the transaction.  She was extremely upset stating she was not leaving without the vehicle or paperwork with the cancelled sale.  Officers were able to calm her down and get her into her daughter’s vehicle while the paperwork was being processed.  Officers then gave her the paperwork and advised the daughter she needs to be seen by a doctor for her behavior, there may be a severe underlying issue causing her to act out.  Report written

2124 hrs., 6200 block 86th Ave/ Domestic, caller stated she and her husband were in a verbal argument on the way home from him getting her from work.  Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who stated she and her husband were having a verbal argument about him wanting money for fixing the sink.  She said they argued the whole way home and she was upset.  Officers then spoke to the male half who stated they were arguing in the vehicle and she struck him in the face.  Officers checked and there were no signs of injury.  He was advised since it occurred on Bladensburg Rd in Adam sector to contact them, he refused.  Both parties agreed they would stay away from each other and stay in their own rooms.  Report written

 

2215 hrs., Premise check/ Good Luck Park, check clear.

 

2254 hrs., Foodway/ Assault, caller was a taxi driver who stated his passenger he picked up may have been assaulted.  When speaking to the driver it was discovered the male was picked up from a restaurant in Glenn Arden and was complaining about pain and the driver noticed he was bleeding from the mouth.  The passenger was able to get in touch with a friend, who said he would come and get him from the Foodway parking lot.  The caller said he did not want to take him home. He was too intoxicated and felt he needed to go to the hospital.  The passenger refused medical assistance and the family took him home, after getting some information out of him they believe he may have fallen and not been assaulted.  They were given information on who to contact if that changes when the passenger sobers up tomorrow.  No Report.

0021 hrs., Metro Points Hotel/ Check on the welfare, caller stated she was in love with her boyfriend and does not know why he does not want to be with her.  She then told the front desk she believes her boyfriend and his girlfriend were plotting against her.  Officers arrived and spoke to the female, who was extremely intoxicated, and stated her boyfriend's brother was in the room and disrespecting her.  She stated he left and she did not need anything further.  No Report.

 

0045 hrs., Premise check/ Metro Points Hotel, check clear.

 

0108 hrs., 8300 block Oliver St/ Loud music call, caller stated there was a party and loud music coming from this residence.  Officers arrived to hear the music and an unreasonable level for the time of night.  The officers spoke to the homeowner and advised him the party needed to be shut down and the music turned off for the night.  He complied with no issues.  No Report.

 

0115 hrs., 5900 block 85th Ave/ Dispute, caller stated his roommate was going crazy.  Officers arrived to see the males in the residence arguing with each other.  Officers spoke to the room mate who stated he was upset because he was having girl problems.  He was upset and the other males in the house began to yell at him and it upset him so he yelled back.  The caller stated they tried to talk to him but he struck one of the other males in the face and continued to yell when asked not to.  The caller also stated the roommate said he was going to smack him.  Due to him living there, he was not thrown out of the residence and the caller was advised several times what he needed to do to have him evicted the proper way.  All parties were advised about filing charges on the assault that did not occur in our presence and a peace order.  No Report.

0226 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr/ Loud music, caller stated the apartment below her was playing music loud and talking loud.  Officers made contact with the occupants and advised them of the volume of the music and talking.  They stated they would keep it down and turn the music off.  No Report.

 

0245 hrs., 5900 block 85th Ave/ Disorderly person, caller stated he was at the Commissioner’s office obtaining a peace order for the male banging on the door.  Officers arrived and spoke to the males inside, he said he was able to get back into his residence after several minutes.  The male inside said he locked the screen door to keep the other male out, he was advised he cannot lock him out, he lives there.  No Report.

 

0311 hrs., 5200 block 85th Ave/ People outside talking, officers advised communications this address is not valid.  Officers checked the area close to what might be this address and did not locate anything.  There was no call back information to get a better address, therefore we were unable to locate any persons outside.  No Report.

 

0353 hrs., 5900 block 85th Ave/ Peace Order Service, officers were called to the location due to the homeowner obtaining a Peace Order for the subject we had previous calls on.  Officers did not have the copy with the Return of Service sheet so the Sheriff's Department was called and they served the order.   No Report.

 

0430 hrs., Premise Check/ 7-11, check clear.

 

0500 hrs., 85th Ave and Longfellow St/ Man Down, officers were flagged down for a male laying on the sidewalk.  Officers located the male, who was extremely intoxicated, on the cold cement in only a sweatshirt.  Officers checked and he did not appear to be in distress from the cold.  Officers were finally able to obtain his address and take him to his residence in Lanham.  He was dropped off to family at the residence.  No Report

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company.
