0735 HOURS-  MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE.-  REPEATED COMPLAINTS OF MALES DRINKING, SMOKING C.D.S., AND GAMBLING IN THE AREA.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CANVASED THE COMPLEX, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THAT TIME. 

0822 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7500 BLOCK GOOD LUCK RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

0909 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

0948 HOURS- DEATH REPORT- 5500 BLOCK KAREN ELAINE DR. -  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A DEATH REPORT AFTER THE DECEDENT WAS FOUND UNRESPONSIVE BY HIS ROOMMATE AND PGFD PRONOUNCED ON SCENE.  MOBILE CRISIS RESPONDED TO SCENE TO ASSIST THE DECEDENTS ROOMMATE WITH GRIEF COUNSELING.  MD MEDICAL EXAMINERS OFFICE, P.G.P.D. HOMICIDE, AND NCPD3 WERE NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. REPORT WRITTEN

0953 HOURS- HIT AND RUN- 8500 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A HIT AND RUN.  THE CALLER REPORTED HER VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT THEN FLED THE SCENE; OFFICERS DETERMINED THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS IN LANHAM, AT WHICH TIME THE CALLER REFUSED POLICE SERVICES AS THERE WAS NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO HER VEHICLE.

1052 HOURS- FAMILY DISPUTE- 5900 BLOCK MENTANA ST.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A FAMILY DISPUTE.  THE CALLER REPORTED HAVING AN ARGUMENT WITH HER ADULT SON (ON-GOING), AND HER SON TOOK HER VEHICLE WITHOUT HER PERMISSION.  THE CALLER WAS MET AND REFERRED TO THE COMMISSIONER FOR CHARGES AND ADVISED.

1120 HOURS- BURGLARY- 8400 BLOCK CARROLLTON PKWY.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A BURGLARY REPORT.  THE VICTIM REPORTED AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT MADE ENTRY TO THE RESIDENCE AND TOOK TWO TELEVISIONS, THEN FLED THE SCENE IN AN UNKNOWN DIRECTION, MAKING GOOD OF THEIR ESCAPE.  DET. ROBINSON WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. REPORT WRITTEN

1220 HOURS- MISSING PERSON- 8500 BLOCK NICHOLSON ST.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR REPORT OF A MISSING JUVENILE.  THE CALLER STATED HER JUVENILE NIECE RAN AWAY FROM A RELATIVES HOME IN HYATTSVILLE OVER THE WEEKEND AFTER GOING THERE TO VISIT HER FAMILY.  P.G.P.D. PERSONS AND NCPD3 WERE NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT.

1300 HOURS- COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY- 6100 BLOCK LAMONT DR.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR REPORT OF COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY.  OFFICERS CONFISCATED A COUNTERFEIT BILL THAT HAD BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE SCHOOL BY AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT FOR A FIELD TRIP PAYMENT; THE COUNTERFEIT BILL WAS ENTERED INTO N.C.P.D. PROPERTY AS EVIDENCE.  REPORT WRITTEN

1538 HOURS-  MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE.-  REPEATED COMPLAINTS OF MALES DRINKING, SMOKING C.D.S., AND GAMBLING IN THE AREA.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CANVASED THE COMPLEX, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THAT TIME. 

1613 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- RYCROFT PARK-  ALL CLEAR.

1707 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7500 BLOCK GOOD LUCK RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

1810 Hrs., Family Dispute / 7500 block Riverdale road / Caller reported his daughter struck him in the face. Upon arrival, the caller stated he was upset because 9-11 Dispatch asked him too many questions and he refused further police services. No report. 

1830 Hrs., Burglary / 7300 block Sara Street / Caller reported an unknown suspect entered through her unsecured kitchen window to break into her home. Det. Robinson responded to scene, due to the disarray condition of the residence the caller was unable to verify if anything was taken. REPORT WRITTEN

1852 Hrs., Burglary / 6200 block 87th Ave, Caller, stated after arriving home from work he observed his basement window open, which allowed an unknown suspect(s) to gain entry into this residence and stole a Glock 17, 9mm  with 17 round magazine loaded to capacity with gold dot hollow point 9mm ammunition. Det. Robinson responded on scene, NC-3 was notified. The weapon was entered into the system as stolen. REPORT WRITTEN

1923 Hrs., Theft / 6000 block Mentana Street / Caller stated after arriving home from work his son advised him, an unknown suspect(s) entered his driveway and stole his son's bicycle that was in public view. The caller did not have any serial or make and model information. REPORT WRITTEN

1949 Hrs., Accident / 8400 block Freemont Street / Unit-1 turned onto Freemont St., from 84th avenue, failed to pay attention and struck Unit-2 which was parked and occupied. No injuries report, Case numbers provided to both parties and advised to contact their insurance companies. REPORT WRITTEN

2040 Hrs., Return call/Family dispute/ 7500 block Riverdale road / Officers responded and met with both parties, the previous caller stated he did not require police services and said his wife is the one that called. Officers made contact with the wife who stated she only wanted officers to talk to her (husband). Both parties said they did not require a police report or further police services. Both parties were advised to seek a protective/peace order through the District Commissioner's office and for further assistance. No report generated.

2245 Hrs., Disorderly 8400 block Annapolis road / Caller stated an unknown male was bothering him at the bus stop. However, the suspect was gone before officers arrived. The caller said he was scared to walk in the area. At the caller's request, he was transported to New Carrollton Metro Train station and released on scene. No report. 

2300 hrs., Sounds of Gunshots 8400 block Sprague place, Officers responded and located a witness outside walking his dog in the area. The witness stated while walking his dog he observed people at 85th Ave and Sprague place letting off firecrackers. Officers canvassed the area and located no signs of gunshots. No report.  

2332 Hrs., Suspicious occupied vehicle / 7200 block Longbranch drive, Caller reported he observed an unknown model black SUV filled with two passengers parked and sitting for an extended period in front of his residence. Officers responded and found nothing, a canvass of the area was conducted with negative results. The complaint was met and advised to contact the police if he observed the vehicle again in front of his residence. No report. 

2355 hrs., Suspicious person / 6400 block Fairbanks street / Caller stated she observed her ex-lover, walking around in her backyard. Officers responded and searched the yard and found nothing. Officers attempted to make contact with the complaint who did not answer the door. Police communications tried to contact the caller via telephone, and they advised the call went to voicemail belonging to a commercial business and stated it was closed for the day. Finally, after several attempts, officers made contact with the homeowner at this address who said no one called the police and everything was alright. No report.
