0701 HOURS- MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE. -  REPEATED COMPLAINTS OF MALES DRINKING, SMOKING C.D.S., AND GAMBLING IN THE AREA.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CANVASED THE COMPLEX, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THAT TIME.

0745 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD. -  ALL CLEAR.

0832 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. -  ALL CLEAR.

0900 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. -  OFFICERS ASSISTED THE FRIENDS OF NEW CARROLLTON BY HELPING FAMILIES AND THOSE IN NEED WITH THE PURCHASE OF GROCERY ITEMS (GIFT CARDS).

1033 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE- 7900 BLOCK LEGATION RD. -  OFFICERS OBSERVED A PARKED VEHICLE AT THE LOCATION, WITH A REGISTRATION VIOLATION.  THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPORTED STOLEN, WAS ISSUED A PARKING CITATION AND TOW NOTIFICATION.

1058 HOURS- TRAFFIC COMPLAINT- 7300 BLOCK LONGBRANCH DR. -  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A CITIZEN COMPLAINT OF A VEHICLE BLOCKING THEIR DRIVEWAY.  OFFICERS DETERMINED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT BLOCKING THE CALLERS DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPORTED STOLEN, THE CALLER WAS ADVISED.  NO ACTION TAKEN.

1130 HOURS- DISORDERLY- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. -  OFFICERS ON PATROL OBSERVED TWO FEMALES WITH MEGAPHONES IN THE PARKING LOT, CAUSING A DISTURBANCE.  THE FEMALES WERE STOPPED, IDENTIFIED, CHECKED NEGATIVE, PHOTOGRAPHED, ADVISED AND SENT ON THEIR WAY.

1205 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  OFFICERS PATROLLED THE PARKING LOT FOR VIOLATIONS AND TO DETER THEFTS FROM PARKED VEHICLES.

1240 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- PLAZA 30- OFFICERS PATROLLED THE PARKING LOT FOR VIOLATIONS AND TO DETER THEFTS FROM PARKED VEHICLES.

1315 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8300 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

1422 HOURS- ACCIDENT- 8300 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  UNIT 1 STRUCK UNIT 2 WHILE IN THE PARKING LOT, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, MET THE INVOLVED PARTIES AND FACILITATED AN EXCHANGE OF REQUIRED INFORMATION.

1455 HOURS- WARRANT SERVICE- 8300 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  OFFICERS ON THE ABOVE INCIDENT ATTEMPTED TO IDENTIFY A MALE WHO WAS INVOLVED.  THE MALE WAS DISCOVERED TO POSSESS AN OPEN WARRANT THROUGH MONTGOMERY COUNTY.  THE MALE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, THE WARRANT CONFIRMED, AND THE MALE TRANSPORTED TO U/M D.O.C.

1725 HOURS- ACCIDENT- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.- UNIT 1 STRUCK UNIT 2 WHILE IN THE PARKING LOT, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, MET THE INVOLVED PARTIES AND FACILITATED AN EXCHANGE OF REQUIRED INFORMATION.


1825 hrs., Premise Check - 8500 block Annapolis Road / All clear

1933 hrs., Premise Check - Metro Points Hotel / All clear

1956 hrs., Accident – 7600 block Riverdale Road - driver of vehicle struck two parked vehicles which caused minor damage. Driver then exited his vehicle and swallowed countless 800 mg ibuprofen pills as he wanted to end his life. Driver advised he did not wish to live after disclosing he was H.I.V. Positive and officers observed multiple pills in the driver’s mouth and scattered on the ground. / Driver was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to UMD hospital (old P.G.H.) under mandated Psychological Evaluation. REPORT WRITTEN (vehicle was impounded for safekeeping) A.C.R.S. completed

0050 hrs., Missing Person – 5300 block 85th Avenue - Caller reported that her boyfriend did not return home / All clear, boyfriend came home as officers arrived

0137 hrs., Traffic Arrest - 6100 Lamont Drive - Intoxicated driver committed several traffic violations. Driver failed S.F.S.T.’s and refused breath test. Driver was cited and released on seen / REPORT WRITTEN (vehicle impounded)

0238 hrs., Loud Music Complaint – 7700 block Riverdale Road - Return Call for loud party / Party shut down

0337 hrs., Premise Check - 5500 block of Karen Elaine Drive / All clear

0422 hrs., Premise Check - 5400 block of 85th Avenue / All clear

0500 hrs., Unknown Trouble - 8100 block Annapolis Road - emergency call with static heard in the background/ All clear (nothing found as usual)

0529 hrs., Burglary Report - Caller advised that unknown suspect entered store and management office, opened safe and stole undisclosed amount of money. / Scene processed for latent prints. C.I.D. notified. REPORT WRITTEN (handled by day-work)

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Report Written 0807 Hours - Suspicious Person - 7700 Block of Riverdale Rd: An unknown caller advised a male in gray was asleep under the stairwell unresponsive. Officers responded and made contact with the subject who advised he was on the bus all night and needed a place to sleep. The male checked negative for warrants and was sent on his way. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into. Officers gathered all information needed and generated a report.  Report Written 1028 Hours -Disorderly- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for a disorderly male.
