0722 Hrs., Accident 8500 block of Powhatan Street, Unit-1 failed
to control speed and struck a parked vehicle and overturned. The driver was
transported to the hospital for her injuries and her vehicle was impounded by
Charlies Towing for safekeeping. REPORT WRITTEN
0732 Hrs., Departmental 8600 Block of Annapolis Road, Accident
involving an city vehicle and Metro Transit Transportation Bus. No injuries,

0942 Burglary 6500 block Fairbanks Street, Caller stated an
unknown suspect unlawfully entered his backyard, open his shed house,
and stole his lawnmower. NCPD CID was notified. REPORT WRITTEN
1028 Hrs., Check Welfare 8400 block Annapolis Road / An Anonymous
caller reported a male on the ground “rolling” around. Officers responded and
located the male, who stated he injured his foot and was in pain. Prince
George’s Ambulance 830 responded and transported the citizen to the hospital
for treatment. No report.
1100 Hrs., Premise check 7700-7800 block of Riverdale Road
Avenue/ all clear
1140 hrs., Premise Check 6100 block Lamont Drive
1155 Hrs., Suspicious Male 5500 block Karen Elaine Drive the caller
who wished to remain Anonymous, stated she observed a male suspect looking into
the basement level windows of the building units. After she called
authorities, dispatch gave description of a black male wearing a black jacket
and khaki pants. Officers arrived on scene, observed a suspect matching the
listed description and he was stopped and detained. During the investigation,
the suspect refused to provide his identification on demand to establish
identity. He was placed into custody and transported to District one department
of corrections to be identified. Report written
1315 Hrs., Commercial alarm 7700 block Riverdale Road /the building
lights shut off with trigger the alarm system. Everything checked ok, the
lights came back on, no report.
1405 Hrs., Shoplifter 8400 block Annapolis Road / Store Loss
Prevention apprehend a shoplifter, however; store manager refused to pursue
criminal charges. The shoplifter was checked for warrants with negative
results, she was issued a Trespassing notice by the establishment and then
release. No report.
1424 Hrs., Disorderly 7700 block Riverdale Road /Manager called
to report a customer acting Belligerent, yelling and screaming at the
associates. The customer was gone prior to officer’s arrival. No report.
1447 Hrs., Lost Property 6400 block Inlet Street, caller lost
his cell phone outside city jurisdiction. He was advised no report.
