0950 HOURS-Traffic Stop-8300 block Annapolis Rd.- Officer while on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic infraction. Officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver was driving on a suspended driver's license. The driver was issued multiple citations and the vehicle was impounded as a result. REPORT WRITTEN

1044 HOURS-Check Welfare-5300 block Karen Elaine Dr.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a male walking around appearing to be under the influence of an unknown substance. It was found that the male was walking home and was intoxicated. The male was escorted to his residence without incident. NO REPORT

1127 HOURS-Accident-Riverdale Rd. @ Annapolis Rd.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a traffic accident. Officers found that one of the vehicles involved was a Prince George's County Public Works vehicle. Prince George's County Police was notified and took responsibility for the accident. NO REPORT

1229 HOURS-Premise Check-7500 Good Luck Rd.-Officers conducted a check of this location for any issues. NO REPORT

1310 HOURS-Premise Check-8100 block Gavin St.-Officers conducted a check of this location for any criminal activity. NO REPORT

1352 HOURS-Premise Check-5200-5400 block 85th Ave.-Officers conducted a patrol of this location for any criminal activity. NO REPORT

1442 HOURS-Premise Check-7400 block Riverdale Rd.-Officers conducted a check of this location for any possible trespassers. NO REPORT

1538 HOURS-Premise Check-8400 block Annapolis Rd-Officers conducted a check of this location for any trespassers or panhandlers. NO REPORT

1840 hrs., Premise Check/ CVS Pharmacy, check clear.

 

1915 hrs., Veterans Pkwy and Annapolis Rd/ Hit and Run, caller stated he saw a motorcycle crash into the back of an ice cream truck.  Caller stated the motorcycle had heavy damage and he believed the ice cream truck was still there.  The caller was not a party involved, just a passerby who had no further information to pass onto officers.  Officers checked the area with negative results.  No Report.

 

1935 hrs., Premise Check/ New Carrollton Public library, check clear.

 

1950 hrs., Mahoney Dr. at Legation Rd/ Assist Montgomery County Police, they contacted dispatch advising they were attempting to stop a vehicle they had for a warrant.  The vehicle owner was in DOC and the vehicle was not to move, however a male had a vehicle key, proceeded to get into it and move it to another location.  Due to Montgomery County having a warrant to search the vehicle, Montgomery County unmarked unit attempted to make a traffic stop, the vehicle stopped at this location.  A male got out of the vehicle and another male approached the vehicle once it stopped, they just wanted uniformed officers there for any potential issues that may have arisen.  No Report.

 

2030 hrs., Premise Check/ Shops at New Carrollton, check clear.

 

2125 hrs., Premise Check/ 6600 block of Ian St, check clear.

 

2140 hrs., 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ Assist Montgomery County with a search warrant of a residence.  Officers simply assisted Montgomery County Detectives with a uniform presence, due to them being outside of their jurisdiction.  The search warrant was executed with no issues.  No Report.

 

2330 hrs., Premise Check/ 7-11, check clear.

 

0005 hrs., Premise Check/ 5300-5400 block of 85th Ave, check clear.

 

0044 hrs., 5700 block Harland St/ Alarm call, alarm company stated it was a silent tamper alarm.  Officers checked the outside and all doors and windows were secure, they proceeded to knock to speak to the residence inside.  After several minutes the homeowner opened the door and stated there was no reason for the alarm to have been going off.  Officers checked the residence to assist in locating the alarm, it was off.  No Report.

 

0110 hrs., Annapolis Rd and Fins Ln/ Disabled vehicle, officers were conducting patrol and located a vehicle in the roadway with a dead battery.  Officers were able to locate a citizen who was able to jump the vehicle and get it started again. The vehicle was safely moved from the roadway.  No Report.
