0558 Stolen Auto/ 7800 block Powhatan St -victim started her vehicle and left it unattended. The suspect entered the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction. The stolen vehicle was entered into PGPD Teletype as stolen. REPORT WRITTEN

0830 Premise Check/ 6100 block Lamont Dr. - School starting for the day. Met with security.

0845 Premise Check/ 6400 block 85th Ave - Career Day

0916 Theft/ 7500 block Good Luck Road - unknown suspect stole batteries from the AT&T cell tower. REPORT WRITTEN

0920 Vandalism/ 6200 block Westbrook Dr. - the victim's partner filed a report earlier in the week. The victim provided video of the suspect. Officer notified CID who will complete the follow-up investigation. REPORT WRITTEN

1230 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd -met with management, no issues reported

1400 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd - all clear

1520 Traffic Control/ 6100 block Lamont Dr. - school dismissal

1559 MPS/ 6400 block 85th Ave - child was dropped off at the wrong location in Hyattsville. The school was able to contact the father who picked up the child and no issues were reported by the father. REPORT WRITTEN

1640 Accident/ Annapolis Rd @ 85th Ave parties exchanged information

1641 Theft/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd. - complainant alleged someone cashed checks in his name. Officers determined no theft was verified 

1642 Suspicious Vehicle/ 6600 block Ian St -complainant thought the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was not stolen but was marked for 72 hr. violation

1855 hrs., 5800 Block of 85th Ave/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident .

2240 hrs., 5300 Block of 85th Ave/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2255 hrs., 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2310 hrs., Annapolis Rd at Finns Ln/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0025 hrs., 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0040 hrs., 8600 block Rycroft Rd/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, the driver stated he worked for Uber and was waiting for his fair.

0100 hrs., School check/ Robert Frost, check clear.

0112 hrs., 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Suspicious Person, male was sitting on the sidewalk with his legs in the roadway.  Offices stopped to check on his welfare, he stated he was fine and left the area without incident. REPORT WRITTEN

0150 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr./ Noise Complaint, caller stated her neighbors were playing music loud and talking loud.  Officers spoke to the neighbor who after minor arguing, was advised they live in an apartment building and have to be mindful of the neighbors.  The music was turned down.  

0211 hrs., 8300 block Nicholson St/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, Officers spoke to the driver who stated he drives for Uber and he fell asleep while waiting for his fair.  He was sent on his way.

0230 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0300 hrs., Business check/ Darcar's, check clear.

0330 hrs., Business check/ Shell Gas station, check clear.

0345 hrs., School check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

0415 hrs., School check/ Carrollton Elementary School, check clear.

0505 hrs., Business check/ Metro Points Hotel, check clear.


0535 hrs., 5900 Lamont Dr. / Missing Person, caller stated his brother is an Uber driver who has failed to return home.  He contacted Uber who stated that his last fair was in Washington D.C. and his phone was off at this time.  Once Officers arrived the caller reached the missing and discovered he was in good condition.  He stated he just fell asleep and his phone died but he was in good condition and on his way back to the residence.
