0809 hrs., 5300 block 85th Ave/ Commercial Alarm, alarm company stated it was an alarm coming from this business.  Officers checked and all doors and windows were locked and secured.  It is unknown what caused the alarm to set off.  No Report.

 

0830 hrs., Premise Check/ 5300-5400 block of 85th Ave, check clear.

 

0913 hrs., New Carrollton Public Library/ Commercial Alarm, alarm company stated there were several alarms coming from several locations.  Officers arrived to see employees on scene who stated the alarm was not going off and the pad showed it was off.  No Report.

1125 hrs., 5900 block Mentana St/ Residential alarm, alarm company advised it was the rear door of the residence.  Officers were attempting to check the rear of the residence when we encountered a large dog and the homeowner.  Homeowner stated they thought they shut the alarm off in time and cancelled it from the company dispatch.  No Report.

 

1140 hrs., Premise Check/ Heritage Square Apartments, check clear.

 

1220 hrs., Premise Check/ Lowe's (Foot Patrol), check clear.

 

1240 hrs., Lowes parking lot/ Dispute, officers observed 2 males arguing in the parking lot over an issue.  Officers separated the 2 males and discovered the Lowe's employee felt that the driver of the vehicle drove too close to him so he left the carts and chased down the van.  The driver stopped and began to yell back at the employee.  Officers spoke to both parties and advised them of any further action they could take.  No Report.

 

1305 hrs., Metro Points Hotel/ Disorderly, employees called due to a male standing in the lobby yelling at them. Officers arrived to the male continuing to yell, he finally stopped yelling and officers escorted him to his room to gather his belongings and escort him off the property.  No further issues, No Report.

 

1315 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr/ Civil Dispute, caller stated she met with a male she previously dated to talk.  She stated they went to another location and when the male walked into the business he took money from her cup holder.  The caller stated somehow the male went into the business and did not come back out, she feels he may have gone out the back entrance.  The caller stated she did not date the male long and she only knew his first name and nothing further.  The caller was advised on what action she could take to get her money returned.  No Report (not enough information.)

1510 hrs., 7600 block Fountainebleau Dr/ Assist fireboard, caller stated he was involved in a vehicle accident earlier in the day.  Caller stated he believed his arm was now broken.  Caller stated information was exchanged at the accident and he did not need police assistance.  No Report.

1607 hrs., 5900 block 89th Ave/ Loud Music, caller stated loud music coming from this area.  Officers checked and did not hear anything at this time.  No Report.

1709 hrs., 5900 block 87th Ave/ Residential Alarm, unknown location of the alarm.  Officers checked all doors and windows they were secure and no sign of forced entry.  Owner arrived on scene to check the residence with officers.  No Report.

 

1730 hrs., 8600 block of Annapolis Rd/ Assist motorist, officers received a call for a vehicle broken down in the roadway.  Officers were able to clear the vehicle out of the roadway safely.  No Report

1843 Domestic/ 7800 block Riverdale Rd - wife and husband were having a verbal dispute over the husband talking to a woman on the phone. Parties refused police services. No report

1915 Premise Check/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd - it was business as usual

1935 Arrest/ 5800 block Mentana St - Suspect violated the protective order and was arrested on scene. The arrestee was transported to Upper Marlboro for presentation of charges. Report written

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into.
