0645 Assist/ 8300 block Donoghue Dr. DLLR Police needed back up to serve papers to a resident

0804 Abandoned Vehicle/ 5700 block 85th Ave vehicle is registered, vehicle is on jack with tire missing. Violation notice was placed on the window 

0808 Stolen Auto/ 5900 block 84th Ave vehicle was repossessed at 0350 hrs

0856 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ business as usual, no issues observed or reported

0915 Found Property/ 7600 block Riverdale Rd/ reporting person found items and they were placed into property for safekeeping

0939 Vehicle/ 8200 block Oglethorpe St/ gray Honda Accord parked in front of residence since Saturday. The vehicle is not stolen and is parked correctly, Mrs. Walden was advised

1015 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd/ business as usual, no issues reported

1100 Premise Check/ 6000 block Mentana St (surrounding streets) area were clear, no suspicious activity observed

1157 Stolen Auto/ 8400 block Cathedral Ave/ the victim was away on business and the suspect stole his vehicle from the driveway. REPORT WRITTEN

1455 Residential Panic Alarm/ 5300 block 85th Ave/ front door was locked, no answer after several knocks

1520 Traffic Assignment/ Lamont Dr @ Westbrook Drive school dismissal

1521 Welfare Check/ 7800 block Riverdale Rd/ the doctor wanted the resident to call the office

1630 6500 block Lamont Pl/ caller request to have the house checked. The residents were inside and ok

1845 hrs Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave/ Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear.

1910 hrs Business check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

1930 hrs Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

2003 hrs 8100 block Carrollton Pkwy/ Suspicious activity, caller stated about 4 years ago she was the witness to a burglary at her next door neighbor’s house.  The police department caught the male and she had to testify in court.  Today she found a dark hat with a threatening note attached to it.  Officers looked at the hat and the note attached was for someone to call the person and the number was left.  This was in no way threatening and the hat belonged to the neighbor’s son. A friend just placed it at the wrong house.  At this time there is no crime or threat that occurred.  

2035 hrs 6000 Block of Harland St/ Residential check, 6000 block of Harland St/ citizen complaints of CDS use by male hanging out in the area and do not live there, check clear.

2144 hrs Annapolis Rd and 85th Ave/ Vehicle accident, no injuries to any party, one vehicle was impounded and the other was derivable.  Driver of Unit 1 was issued several citations for traffic violations. REPORTS WRITTEN

2226 hrs 5306 85th Ave/ Suspicious Person, caller stated a Hispanic male wearing a reflective vest was knocking on her door stating he was with the electric company.  He began asking questions and caller stated he wanted to speak to the account holder, but did not know the account holders name.  She states it was odd and never opened her door, even though he asked her to.  Officers canvassed the area with nothing found.

2315 hrs Business check/ City of New Carrollton Pool, check clear.

2330 hrs Residential Check/ 8500 Block of Madison St, 5900 Block of 87th Ave, 8500 Block of Legation St., and Beckett Field, complaint of possible drug activity, suspicious vehicles in the area, illegal dumping, and vandalism to the street lights.  Officers checked the area with no signs of the listed.

2355 hrs 6100 block of 85th Ave/ Traffic detail, detail was run and 3 vehicles traveled along the roadway.  No vehicles were speeding at this time.  Detail was conducted until 0050 hrs.

0050 hrs School check/ Carrollton Elementary, check clear.

0115 hrs 6000 Block of Mentana St and the Pathway between Vera Cope Park and Powhatan St, Officers conducted a foot patrol in the area.  Citizens have been complaining about suspicious behavior, possible sale of drugs, gambling, and loitering of unknown persons, check clear.

0130 hrs Business check/ Darcar's Dodge, check clear.

0215 hrs Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave, Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear.

0230 hrs Residential check/ 5500 block of Karen Elaine Dr. Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear.

0255 hrs 7800 block Riverdale Rd/ Theft, caller stated her roommate stole her small purse with several items inside.  When Officers arrived we spoke with the caller who explained he is the only other one with access to the residence and she believes he stole it.  We spoke with him and he denies having any access to get the purse.  We have on several occasions dealt with the two persons and have numerous times advised them what to do and to have the caller leave the residence and she will not, she states if she stays in a hotel people will think she is a prostitute.  All parties were advised and again given all of the necessary information to help themselves.
