0645 HOURS - PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD - OFFICERS CHECKED THE AREA FOR SUSPICIOUS PERSONS, VEHICLES, OR ACTIVITIES, NONE OF WHICH WERE OBSERVED. No report     

 

0730 hours - Premise Check - 7700 & 7800 block of Riverdale Road: Officers on patrol conducted a premise check of the area for suspicious persons or activities, none of which observed. No report    

 

0846 hours - Lost property – 5400 block 85th Avenue: The caller stated that he could not find his passport, green card, and social security card. Officers responded to the scene, gathered all the information for the report, and advised the caller. Report generated

 

0920 hours - Premise Check - 5200-5400 block of 85th Avenue: Officers on patrol conducted a premise check of the area for suspicious persons or activities, none of which were observed. No report    

 

1040 hrs., Premise Check - 7400 block Riverdale Road (Library), check clear.   

 

1156 hours - Residential alarm - 5900 block Mentana Street: Communications advised that they receive an alarm from the location. Officers responded to the location and found the owner was on the scene, Accident by the homeowner. No report.   

 

1255 hrs., Premise Check/ Plaza 30, check clear.   

 

1311 hours - MPS/Alleged Kidnapping - Annapolis Rd & 85th Ave: The caller stated while he was stopped at the traffic light, at the intersection on 85th avenue & eastbound Annapolis Road. An unidentified man exited a blue Chevrolet work van with Temporary Virginia registration approached a dark-colored unknown model Ford sedan, and opened the passenger side door. The man began to argue and yell obscenities at the female passenger and then grab her, pulling her out of the vehicle. The man dragged the female back to his vehicle, made a U-turn at the light, and fled westbound Annapolis Road towards Landover Hills, MD, making good of their escape. Officers canvassed the area with nothing found. We do not have a victim or suspect information at this time, this was an observation by the witness. Only one call was reported for this incident. Officers notified the On-call Commander. Report generated

 

 1338 hours - Domestic - 7700 block Riverdale Road: The caller stated that she did not see her husband parked in the parking lot when she came out of her friend's residence. However, the caller called back and canceled the police stating that she talked to her husband. No report. 

 

1411 hours - Accident call - 7700 block of Annapolis Road: Unit-1 rear-ended Unit-2. While officers were en route, the caller called back and canceled the police stating that they already exchanged information. No report 

 

1520 hours - Accident - 7900 block of Annapolis Road: Unit-1 struck Unit-2, causing disabling damages. Both drivers refused medical on scene. Report generated

 

1614 hours - Accident - Annapolis Rd & 495 Northbound (D-sector): Police communications advised county units were unavailable. Before the officer's arrival, the drivers already exchanged information and had refused medical attention. Officers provide them case numbers for reference. No report 

1822 HOURS- UNKNOWN TROUBLE- 8100 BLOCK OF CARROLLTON PKWY- CALLER STATED THAT THERE WAS A FEMALE WALKING DOWN CARROLLTON PKWY YELLING AND SCREAMING. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND CANVASSED THE AREA YIELDING NEGATIVE RESULTS. NO REPORT.

2047 HOURS- TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT- 6100 BLOCK OF LAMONT DR- OFFICERS OBSERVED A VEHICLE COMMIT A MINOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION. TRAFFIC STOP WAS CLEARED WITH OUT INCIDENT. NO REPORT.


2110 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD- OFFICERS CHECKED THE AREA FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. THE AREA CHECKED CLEAR.


2137 HOURS- ACCIDENT- 7700 BLOCK OF RIVERDALE ROAD- UNIT 1 AND UNIT 2 WERE INVOLVED IN A MINOR ACCIDENT. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND EXCHANGED BOTH PARTIES INFORMATION. NO REPORT.


2240 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5300 BLOCK OF 85TH AVE (SURROUNDING AREAS)- OFFICERS CHECKED THE AREA FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. THE AREA CHECKED CLEAR. 


2311 HOURS- UNKNOWN TROUBLE- 6200 BLOCK OF LAMONT DR- DISPATCHED ADVISED THAT SOMEONE CALLED 911 AND HAD AN OPEN LINE. DISPATCH ADVISED THAT THE PHONE PINGED DOWN IN THE AREA OF THIS LOCATION. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND CANVASSED THE AREA YIELDING NEGATIVE RESULTS. NO REPORT.

0045 HOURS- TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT/ ARREST- 5400 BLOCK OF 85TH AVE- OFFICERS ATTEMPTED TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STOP ON A VEHICLE THAT COMMITTED A TRAFFIC VIOLATION, AT WHICH TIME THE DRIVER FAILED TO STOP AND STRUCK A PARKED VEHICLE. THE DRIVER THEN BAILED OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS APPREHENDED BY OFFICERS IN A WOODED AREA. DRIVER WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST, TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR MINOR INJURIES AND THEN TO DOC FOR PRESENTATION OF CHARGES. TINOS TOWING RESPONDED TO THE SCENE TO IMPOUND THE VEHICLE. NC 2 WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS INCIDENT. REPORT WRITTEN


0251 HOURS- PROPERTY DAMAGE- 5700 BLOCK 85TH AVE- CALLER STATED THAT HE WANTED TO REPORT PROPERTY DAMAGE TO A NEIGHBORS VEHICLE THAT DID NOT BELONG TO HIM. OFFICERS ADVISED CALLER THAT THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO CALL. NO REPORT.


0310 HOURS- SIG 6- 7400 BLOCK LONGBRANCH- CALLER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN OCCUPIED VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIS RESIDENCE WITH THE LIGHTS ON. OFFICERS ARRIVED AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE WHO LIVED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND WAS WAITING FOR HER FRIEND. OFFICERS CLEARED WITH OUT INCIDENT. NO REPORT.
