0641 Hours Premise Check 5200-5400 block of 85th Avenue. All clear

0710 Hours Commercial Alarm 8300 block Annapolis Road, Accidentally by an employee,  everything checked OK all clear.

0721 Hours Residential Alarm 8300 block Carrollton Park way, Officers responded, checked for any sign of forced entry,  nothing found. Everything checked ok, all clear unknown activation.  

0800 Hours Disabled Vehicle 5700 block of 85th Avenue across from Metro Points, the vehicle had battery issues; the owner had a private tow company to remove the vehicle from the roadway. All clear.

0820 Hours Traffic complaint 5200 Block of 85th Avenue, the Manhole cover was unsecured, Prince George's County Public Works was notified, however; they advised it will be a minimum two hour wait. To prevent any further damages or accidents, City of New Carrollton public works was notified and responded to re-secure the cover in the roadway.  

0915 Hours Disorderly 6400 block 85th Avenue male student didn't take his medication this morning and was having a mental breakdown (inappropriate behavior) PG Medic 848 arrived on scene and administered his medicine to the Juvenile student. He checked o.k., refused further medical attention and was released back into the school custody. His parents were contacted via telephone and advised. Community resource officer Cpl. Parker #3152 was on the scene. Report written.  

1130 Hours Disorderly 8400 block Annapolis Road (7-11)  suspicious male in front of the business panhandling and bothering customers walking by. The suspect left before officers arrival, officers canvassed the area with negative results, and the complaint was advised. All clear.

1150 Hrs Stolen vehicle 5400 block 85th Avenue, the caller reported his gray Toyota Camry was stolen. An impound inquiry revealed K & D Towing impounded the vehicle due to no parking permit. The caller was advised.

1328 Hours Premises Check 8400 block of 85th Avenue Plaza 30 Shopping Center all clear. 

1404 Hours Domestic 5200 block 85th avenue caller meet officer outside; he stated his girlfriend broke his lamp last night during an argument which was not physical. The lamp had a value of $20.00 and only wanted advice on how to seek money for the damages. Officers advised him on the proper procedures to through district commissioners office, however; he insisted he did not want to file a report. The caller was advised, no report. 

1430 Hours suspicious person stop 8400 block Annapolis Road (7-11) officers observed suspect panhandling and loitering in front of the business. He stopped, checked for warrants with negative results, advised and then sent on his way. Report wrote 

1432 Hours Attempted pick up 5900 block Mentana Street officers responded to locate a wanted suspect at this location. The mother who is the victim in this incident, was on scene stated; the suspect in question was not home and left in an unknown direction.  She was advised to call the police once the suspect arrives back home. All clear no report. 

1507 Hours Premise check 6000 block of Mentana Street, foot patrol conducted no crime observed all clear.

1530 Hours Assist with school dismal 6100 block Charles Carroll Middle School all clear

1608 Hours Premise Check 7700-7800 Block of Riverdale Road Heritage Square Apartments basketball court checked clear no signs of crime observed all clear.

1640 Hours Disorderly 7600 block Fontainbleau Drive Caller reported King Pawn in the City of District Heights, Maryland sold his laptop he pawned without his permission. Further investigation revealed, the caller did not fulfill his contract terms with King pawn and did not pay his fee in the time that was agreed. He was advised this is a civil matter and to seek further assistance through the Court Commissioners Office. 

1728 Hours Commercial Alarm 8100 block Annapolis Road (St. Christopher's Episcopal Church) No signs of force entry, everything checked o.k. all clear.      

1853 hrs., 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ Hit and Run, caller stated someone hit his vehicle while he was in the parking lot of the Shoppers.  Officers arrived on scene and attempted to locate the caller, when that failed they contacted him by phone and he stated he was gone from the area and that he did not need our assistance.

1915 hrs., Business Check/ Carrollton Enterprise, check clear.

1950 hrs., Residential Check/ Heritage Square Apartments, check clear.

2026 hrs., 5300 block 85th Ave/ Suicidal Subject, caller contacted the Baltimore hotline, who contacted our Communications about a female who was making statements about harming herself.  Officers arrived at the address, however there was no apartment number provided.  Officers made several attempts to contact the caller with negative results.  Officers attempted to make contact with anyone living in the building, but again no answers at any of the doors.  With absolutely no further information to go on and the inability to speak to the caller, who states she was a friend, Officers cleared the scene.

2045 hrs., CVS/ Property Damage, caller stated she parked her vehicle in the parking lot and went into the store.  When she came out about 20 minutes later she observed damage to her vehicle brake light.  

2058 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Owner called stating that two females came into the store, picked up a bottle of vodka, and walked out the door without paying.  All Officers could get was a picture from the Surveillance Camera.  Officers passed around the picture and canvassed the area with negative results.  RCOP

2135 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 block of Karen Elaine Dr, Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear.

2206 hrs., 6000 Block of Mentana St and the Pathway between Vera Cope Park and Powhatan St, Officers conducted a foot patrol in the area.  Citizens have been complaining about,  suspicious behavior, possible sale of drugs, gambling, and loitering of unknown persons, check clear.

2220 hrs., Residential Check/ 8500  Block of Harland St, Citizens complaining of Suspicious Persons loitering in the area, being disorderly, and being loud late at night, check clear.

2225 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave/Check on the Welfare, caller stated he was contacted by the person to give her a ride to Capital Heights.  Caller stated when he arrived at the building he attempted to call her for about 30 minutes and when she did not respond he left the area.  Officers called him once we were on scene and the caller was extremely hard to hear him, but he stated he just wanted us to call her or knock on her apartment door to check on her.  We advised him we did call her and she did not answer the phone, we were unable to check her apartment because he was unable to provide us with one.  Officers exhausted all means to attempt to locate which apartment was hers.  At this time with the little information we had Officers were unable to assist the caller.

2306 hrs., 5200 block 85th Ave #403/ Assault, caller stated they could hear people in this apartment arguing all day long.  Officers spoke with the female inside the residence, who advised she was pregnant and hormonal and any yelling or dropping of items was done by her because she is upset.  She states she is just having a really hard time today with all that was going on in her life and was taking out her frustration by yelling.  Officers offered her any assistance she may need but she stated she would be ok.  No assault took place.

2320 hrs., 700 block Annapolis Rd/ Assist Landover Hills and Prince George's County Police with a possible break in call.  Units needed assistance holding the perimeter of a building that was possibly broken into.  Once the key holder arrived and there were plenty of units on scene, we left the scene.

0040 hrs., 8500 block Legation St/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, Officers observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot, turned off and unknown people inside.  When officers approached the vehicle and asked the persons inside what was going on they replied they were engaging in some alone adult time while their children were at home, in Riverdale (Children are older and able to be alone.)  The individuals were checked and sent on their way.

0050 hrs., 85th Ave and Westbrook Dr/ Traffic stop, stop was cleared without incident.

0105 hrs., 6200 block of Westbrook Dr/ Traffic stop, stop was cleared without incident.

0130 hrs., Business Check/ New Carrollton City Pool, check clear.

0200 hrs., Business Check/ Darcar's Dodge, check clear.

0231 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Commercial alarm (Advance Auto)  Officers checked the building and all windows and doors were secure, unknown cause for the activation.

0245 hrs., Business check/ Metro Points Hotel, check clear.

0310 hrs., Residential Check/8500 Block of Harland St, Citizens complaining of Suspicious Persons loitering in the area, being disorderly, and being loud late at night, check clear.

0330 hrs., Business Check/ Darcar's Dodge, check clear.

0400 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 block of Karen Elaine Dr, Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear.

0430 hrs., Business Check/ 7-11, check clear.

0445 hrs., Business Check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

0505 hrs., Business Check/ Shell gas station, check clear.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. 0645 Hours -Premise Check- 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0722 Hours -Premise Check- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0813 Hours -Vandalism- 7900 Block of Legation Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for the vandalism of a vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into. Officers gathered all information needed and generated a report.  Report Written 1028 Hours -Disorderly- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for a disorderly male.
