0640 hrs., Premise Check/ Metro Points Hotel, check clear.

 

0705 hrs., 5200 block 85th Ave/ Suspicious activity, caller stated her niece was walking to work around 0640 hrs. up 85th Ave.  While walking she noticed a vehicle which then went into a parking lot turned around and began to follow her with his lights off.  Once she noticed this she took off running to Starbucks.  Officers spoke to the Aunt who stated the niece did not have a lot of information to give but that she would call after work.  No Report until further information can be provided.

 

0724 hrs., Metro Points Hotel/ Disorderly persons, caller was an employee who stated there were four persons in the lobby yelling and causing a scene.  Officers arrived and spoke to the employee who stated that all of the persons left prior to our arrival.  No Report.

 

0800 hrs., Premise Check/ Shops at New Carrollton, check clear.

 

0830 hrs., School Check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

 

0900 hrs., Premise Check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

 

0920 hrs., 5300 block 85th Ave/ Suspicious vehicle unoccupied, while on patrol officers observed a vehicle in the parking lot parked blocking open spaces.  The vehicle also matches the description of the incident above so officers investigated.  Officers ran the tag and it was not stolen, the owner came up several minutes later and stated the battery was dead and he needed a jump.  The property manager was also on scene and they were advised and discussed options with the vehicle.  No Report.

1035 hrs., Premise check/ New Carrollton Public Library, check clear.

 

1105 hrs., Premise check/ Shoppers (Foot Patrol), check clear.

 

1138 hrs., Annapolis Rd at Veterans Pkwy/ Accident, caller stated two vehicles were involved in a minor vehicle accident at this intersection.  Officers checked the intersection and no vehicles matching the description were located.  Communications attempted to contact the caller back with negative results.  No Report.

 

1200 hrs., Premise check/ Heritage Square Apartments, check clear.

 

1226 hrs., 5800 block Westbrook Dr. / Property Damage, caller stated his work truck was damaged when he went out to go to work today.  He stated he parked it with no damage last night and discovered it this morning with damage.  Due to it being a work truck he made notification with his boss then notified us to file the report.  Report written

 

1315 hrs., Premise Check/ Beckett Field and the Hanko building, officers staged at this location to advise any citizens that the Halloween Event was cancelled.  Several citizens arrived and were notified.

1754 HOURS-Vandalism-6400 block Lamont Dr.- Officers responded to this location for a report of vandalism to auto. Officers spoke with the caller and could not verify the location of the incident. The caller was advised on what actions could be taken. NO REPORT

1927 HOURS-Loud Noise Complaint-7500 block Riverdale Rd. - Officers responded to this location for a loud noise complaint. Officers spoke with the caller and advised on further actions that could be taken in the future. NO REPORT

2021 HOURS-Domestic-7800 block Riverdale Rd. - Officers responded to this location for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers met with both parties and found that the issue was regarding property. The property was returned and at that time, both parties refused further assistance. NO REPORT

2100 HOURS-Death-5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. - Officers responded to this location for a check welfare. Officers conducted a thorough check of multiple avenues to locate and make contact with the decedent. Emergency maintenance was contacted and provided officers entry into the residence where the decedent was found in his bedroom. Officers gathered all pertinent information and contacted the Medical Examiner's office. NC3 responded to the scene. REPORT WRITTEN

2152 HOURS-Domestic-7600 block Riverdale Rd. - Officers responded to this location for a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both parties who became uncooperative and refused all services. NO REPORT

0010 HOURS-Party Complaint-8200 block Quentin St.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a party complaint. Officers canvassed the area for the party with negative results. NO REPORT

0015 HOURS-Domestic-7800 block Riverdale Rd.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both parties and found that the issues were regarding property. Officers advised both parties on what actions could be taken to resolve the issue. NO REPORT

0108 HOURS-Disorderly-8500 block Oliver St.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a disorderly. Officers met with the male half who was upset regarding his child being up past his bedtime. The male elected to leave for the evening. NO REPORT

0143 HOURS-Suspicious Person-7600 block Riverdale Rd.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a male being followed and being threatened with a weapon. The male spoke with a Spanish-speaking PG County Officer and advised that he was followed by a black Honda civic occupied by three males and upon looking back at the vehicle one of the males displayed what appeared to be a firearm. The caller advised that he did not wish to file a police report and wanted just to go home. The lookout for the vehicle was given; however, at the caller's request and refusal to give any further information a report was not completed. NO REPORT

0247 HOURS-Accident-6600 block Auburn Ave.- Officers responded to this location for a three-vehicle accident that caused the striking vehicle to become disabled. The vehicle was impounded as a result of the accident. All parties were provided with an exchange of information. REPORT WRITTEN

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company.
