0700 HOURS-Parking Violation-8300 block Annapolis Rd.- Officer observed a parking violation. The vehicle was ticketed for the violation. NO REPORT

0728 HOURS-Family Dispute-5800 block Oland Dr.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a family dispute. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that he wanted to take his sister to the doctor and she would not corporate. Officers spoke with the sister who refused to go. As the sister did not meet the criteria for an EPS the caller was advised on what actions he could take. NO REPORT

0743 HOURS-Landlord Tenant-5500 block Karen Elaine Dr.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a landlord-tenant dispute. Officers spoke with all parties involved and advised them on what actions to take through the district courts. NO REPORT

0827 HOURS-Premise Check-6600 block Chestnut Ave.-Officers conducted a check of this location for any criminal activity. NO REPORT

0845 HOURS-Assault-5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. - Officers responded back to this location for a report of a landlord-tenant dispute. While on scene advising the parties of what actions could be taken an assault occurred in front of officers. The arrested was immediately taken into custody for second-degree assault and transported to the department of corrections for presentation of charges. REPORT WRITTEN

1101 HOURS-Parking Complaint-6800 block Good Luck Rd.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a parked vehicle that appeared abandoned and recently involved in an accident. Officers checked on the vehicle and a 72-hour tow notification was affixed to the vehicle to be removed. NO REPORT

1225 HOURS-Property Damage-5400 block 85th Ave.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a lockout with food in the oven. Officers stood by while Prince George's Fire engine 848 forced entry into the residence for the resident. The bottom lock on the door was damaged as a result. REPORT WRITTEN

1346 HOURS-Disorderly-8300 block Annapolis Rd.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a disorderly male refusing to leave. Officers arrived and the male was escorted from the establishment without incident. NO REPORT

1449 HOURS-Flood Patrol- Officers and public works conducted patrols of high risk areas for potential flooding. Roads that were flooding were shut down and reopened throughout the storm. NO REPORT

2033 hrs., 7700 block Topton St/ Suspicious activity, caller stated there was a U-Haul truck across the street and they wanted to know what they were doing.  Officers called the caller back and they claimed they did not call the police; therefore, we could get no assistance from them as to what exactly was going on.  Officers noticed the truck along with an empty house and people moving items into the empty house.  They stated they just purchased the house and were waiting until the rain slowed down to move items.  No Report.

 

2040 hrs., Powhatan St and Topton St/ Suspicious person, officers observed a female sitting on the ground with her legs in the roadway.  Officers checked to see if she was alright and she stated she was waiting for a ride and we were rude for telling her to move to a safer location.  She was advised and began to walk away.  No Report.

 

2050 hrs., Forman Mills/ Shoplifting, loss prevention stated they had a male in custody for shoplifting a pair of pants.  When officers arrived, loss prevention stated they did not want anything done just to have us escort the male out of the business since he was banned.  No Report.

 

2135 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Officers on routine patrol could hear a male yelling extremely loud in the parking lot and in front of the Papa Johns.  Officers asked him to please leave the area if he was going to yell.  Another male came out of Papa Johns and said he would walk him up the street, he believes he lives up there.  The male walked out of the area causing no further issues at this time.  No Report.

2240 hrs., Premise check/ Beckett Field and the Hanko building, check clear.

 

2231 hrs., Powhatan St and Topton St/ Suspicious person, caller stated there was a female out there for over an hour just standing.  Officers arrived to locate the female they dealt with earlier.  She refused to talk to officers so The crisis team was called to talk to her, however they were unable to come out for about an hour so officers remember dealing with her previously and remember where she lived.  Officers were able to safely get her to her residence without any issues (She resides on Oland St) No Report.

 

2304 hrs., Metro points hotel/ Disorderly, caller (employees) stated there was a male in the lobby yelling and swearing at them.  Officers arrived to locate the male and a female in the lobby.  As we asked the male to step outside to speak to him officers attempted to have the female leave with him as well.  The female refused and was escorted out of the business until the matter could be solved.  Officers reviewed the video and observed the male never swore or yelled at the staff, he was advised what action he needed to take to remedy the issue and staff finally cancelled his reservation and refunded him the money.  No Report (civil matter)
