0549 hours Hit & Run 5900 block 84th, Caller reported while driving, a white pickup truck passed him and sideswiped his truck. The suspect failed to remain on the scene then fled in an unknown direction. No injuries reported.  Report written

0600 hours Unknown trouble 5300 block 85th place, Police Communications advised they received a 9-11 hang up at this location. Officers responded and found nothing, no report.

0618 hours Vandalism 7700 block Riverdale road, The caller reported an unknown suspect spray painted their car and sprayed the word "Witch" on the car. Officers provide a report number to the caller, and she was advised. Report written

0825 Premise Check 8400 block Annapolis Road, management reported no issues everything checked ok.

0856 Hours Suspicious Unoccupied Vehicle, Mahoney Drive, Officers observed parking violation and issued a parking citation.

1040 hours Premise check 8400 block Annapolis Road, officers conducted a foot patrol and issued parking citations.

1128 hours Vehicle Accident 7500 block of Annapolis Road, Two car collision, with minor damages, and no injuries reported. Information was exchanged between both parties. No report.

1157 hours Stolen Auto 6100 block Lamont Drive, the caller reported he parked his green 2002 Chevrolet Prizm, on 05/06/21 and noticed it was missing today. The caller stated he left the key inside the vehicle. The car was entered as stolen, Report written

1235 hours MPS 7700 block Riverdale road, the store manager thought a vehicle struck the number gate. However, officers were Able to review video footage that showed the gate was already opened. No damages occurred. No report.


1538 hours Recovered stolen Auto 6600 block Chestnut Ave, an anonymous caller reported a vehicle parked at this location for three days with all the windows down and it had three parking tickets from Prince George’s County parking Enforcement. The registration plates on the car return invalid, Officers checked the vehicle VIN number which confirms the vehicle returning stolen through Prince George’s County. Tino’s towing responded and impounded the car. Report written


1702 hours Vandalism/Shooting 5500 block Karen Elaine drive, caller reported she heard several gun shots, and when She walked outside; she notices a bullet struck her car and her neighbor's balcony door. A projectile was recovered from the scene and placed into evidence. No injuries were reported. Report written

2107 hrs. Noise Complaint 5400 block 85th Ave. Officers made contact with the caller who stated her neighbor's T.V. was loud. Officers made contact with the neighbor who was an older gentleman and hard of hearing. Officers spoke to him about his loud T.V. and he just wanted to be left alone, he was advised. No Report

 

2135 hrs. Premise Check 8300 block Annapolis Rd. check clear.

 

2202 hrs. Welfare Check 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. Officers responded to the listed location for a resident who had locked himself out of his apartment. Once on scene the resident asked if officers or the fire department can gain access to his apartment. Once he was advised that his door would be damaged he elected to wait for his roommate to return home instead. No Report

 

2209 hrs. Party Complaint 5800 block Lamont Dr. Officers responded to the listed location for a loud party. Once on scene officers observed children playing in the front yard. Music was playing but was not loud at all. Officers advised the homeowner when the music needed to be turned off in accordance to the city noise ordinance. No Report

 

2232 hrs. Premise Check 6100 block Lamont Dr. check clear.

 

2247 hrs. Party Complaint 8400 block Carrollton PKWY. Officers responded for loud music at a party. Once on scene officers made contact with the homeowner and advised that the music was very loud. The homeowner turned the music down without incident. Officer then advised when the music needed to be turned off completely in accordance to the city noise ordinance. No Report

 

2300 hrs. Premise Check 8300 block Quintana St. check clear.

 

2357 hrs. Accident Annapolis Rd & 85th Ave. Officers responded to the listed location for a two vehicle accident. Officers made contact with both drivers and passengers to check for injuries in which neither party claimed while on scene. While investigating the details of the accident it was found the driver of unit-1 failed to yield to unit-2 causing the collision. Further investigation of the incident revealed the driver of unit-1 driving privileges had been suspended in Maryland, subsequently the driver was issued several citations. Unit-1 was disabled in the roadway and impounded. Report Written

 

0100 hrs. Welfare Check 7600 block Fontainebleau Dr. Officers responded to the listed location for a female sitting in the hallway. Once on scene officers made contact with the female subject who stated she had been dropped off to her aunt's house. The female subject stated her aunt works at GW Hospital and she had yet to arrive home from her shift so she was waiting. The female subject then stated she was going to get coffee and come back to the building. No Report

 

0155 hrs. Suspicious Person 8300 block Annapolis Rd. Officers responded to the listed location for a male subject attempting to force open the rear door of the establishment. Officers then canvassed the area for the suspect. Officers then observed a male subject walk from the rear of the building, officers attempted to make contact with the male subject who then fled on foot across Annapolis Rd. Officer gave chase after the suspect and apprehended him in a wooded area a short distance from the LOI. The male subject was under the influence of alcohol and had mistakenly exited the bar through the rear emergency exit and tried to enter back in through another secured door. The suspect was identified and released into the care and custody of his friends who transported him home. Report Written

Once on scene officers made contact with the female subject who was located on the sixth floor. The female subject suffered from a mental disorder and was uncooperative with officers but was willing to leave. The female subject didn't meet Law Enforcement requirements for an Emergency Petition Evaluation. Officers sent her on her way without further incident. No Report

The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company.
