Officers met with the caller who advised a suspect shattered the driver's side window and stole the handicap placard hanging on the rearview mirror. Officers advised the caller of what actions to take next.

1717 HOURS-Hit & Run-7300 block Gavin St.- Officers responded to this location for a report of a hit & run. Officers met with the caller and were able to find the vehicle in question after it struck another vehicle on Sara Street. The owner of all vehicle's information was gathered and the driver of the striking vehicle was issued citations and sent on his way.

2350 hrs., 7-11/ Disorderly, officers observed a male walking up to customers.  When officers spoke to the customers they advised the male was asking for money for cigarettes.  Officers stopped the male and advised him he was not able to solicit money from customers and he needed to leave the premises.  He did with no issues.  No Report.

0010 hrs., 6300 block of Lamont Dr. / Suspicious Vehicle occupied, officers observed a vehicle parked in this area with two people inside lying back in the front seats. Officers asked what they were doing in the vehicle and the female stated they lived at the house the vehicle was located in front of and were waiting for her son to go to 7-11.  They were advised and sent on their way.  No Report.

0020 hrs., Carrollton Pkwy at Jodie St/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, as officers were conducting a patrol they observed a vehicle parked at this location with the rear doors open and a hand hanging out the door.  Officers stopped to check on the welfare of the individual inside.  The male was finally awakened by officers and appeared extremely intoxicated and sleepy.  The male stated the vehicle he was in was his friends, who let him stay inside of it due to him being homeless.  Officers advised him he would be unable to do that and spoke with the owner who decided to let him sleep inside for the night.  FIR was written for information.

0035 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. / Car alarm, caller stated he was alerted by his phone that someone attempted to open the door on his vehicle.  Caller stated he checked when the alert happened but by the time he got out to the vehicle there was no one around.  At this time the caller wanted to make us aware of what occurred, officers checked the area and saw no one walking around.  No Report.

0222 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. / Check on the welfare, caller stated there was a male dressed all in black passed out in front of the doors to the building.  Upon arrival officers observed the male lying on the ground and woke him up.  The male was extremely intoxicated and was known to officers.  Officers knew him to not live in that area, but to frequent that area to go to an apartment with several other males who were intoxicated.  Officers were finally able to talk the male into being transported to his residence so he would be safe for the night.  No Report.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company.
