0725 hrs., Premise Check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

0825 hrs., Premise Check/ Foodway, Officers observed a line all the way around the parking lot to the exit.  Officers stood by to make sure the area was safe for the shoppers and kept them in line in a safe area away from vehicles.  No Report.

0945 hrs., Premise Check/ 5500 block of Karen Elaine Dr, check clear.

1015 hrs., Premise Check/ New Carrollton Public Library, check clear.

1045 hrs., School Check/ Margaret Brent School, check clear.

1109 hrs., Shoppers/ Theft, Officers were called for a female who was placing items inside her purse and attempting to leave the store.  Female got into a verbal altercation with employees and then stood in line.  She rang up several hundreds of dollars’ worth of groceries then suspended the sale to take the box she loaded up with other groceries and walked past all points of sale.  Female also had several items in her purse and on her person that belonged to the store she did not pay for.  Report written

1120 hrs., CVS Pharmacy/ Theft from Auto, caller stated someone broke her window in her vehicle and stole money out of the console.   Officers observed the broken window and took a report for the theft and vandalism.  Report written

0030 hrs., School Check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

0105 hrs., School Check/ Lamont Elementary School, check clear.

0130 hrs., School Check/ Carrollton Elementary School, check clear.

1415 hrs., Suntrust Bank/ Commercial Alarm, alarm company said the alarm was coming from the ATM room.  Officers checked the building and found all doors and windows secure, unknown cause for the activation.  No Report.

1430 hrs., Premise Check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

1450 hrs., 8600 block of Annapolis Rd/ Vehicle on Fire, Officers observed a vehicle in the lane of travel on fire.  Officers upon arrival used their issued fire extinguishers but could not put the fire out, due to the fire being near the gas tank.  Fireboard was called and put the fire out.  Owners spoke to the tow truck company that arrived and agreed on where to have the vehicle towed.  Report written

1550 hrs., Premise Check/ Dog Park and Exercise Trail, check clear.

1605 hrs., 8500 block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic complaint, officers received several complaints about a tractor trailer parked on the roadway.  The truck was blocking a lane and people could not see coming out of the shopping center.  Owner was advised and moved the vehicle to another location for the remainder of his time here.  No Report.

1630 hrs., Premise Check/ Shops at New Carrollton, check clear.

1705 hrs., Premise Check/ 7-11, check clear.

1910 Premise Check/ 85th Apts. - the area was clear. 

1945 Premise Check/ 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. - the area was clear. 

2033 Commercial Alarm/ 8200 block Annapolis Rd - alarm alert from the front counter. Officers checked the building and it was secure. No report

2107 Building Check/ 8200 block Annapolis Rd - the key holder responded to the store and requested a walkthrough. 

2145 Premise Check/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd - it was business as usual. 

2220 Premise Check/ Cathedral Ave at Donoghue Dr. and surrounding streets - the area was clear. 

2255 Suspicious Person/ 6100 block 85th Pl - the caller advised of a male looking in vehicles. Officers made contact with a subject who checked negative for warrants. 

2320 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd & surrounding complexes - the area was clear. 

0130 Armed Person/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd - the caller advised a male was knocking on the door and they heard what appeared to be a gun. Officers checked several rooms with negative results.

0235 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. - the area was clear. 

0250 Premise Check/ Shoppes at New Carrollton - the area was clear. 

0315 Premise Check/ 8000-8200 block Annapolis Rd - the area was clear.

0400 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd - the area was clear.

0430 Premise Check/ 7400 block Riverdale Rd - the area was clear.

0500 Premise Check/ Oliver St at Vicar St - the area was clear.

0530 Premise Check/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd - it was business as usual.
