0830 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

0918 hrs., 7500 block Riverdale Rd/ Assist the Fire Department with forced entry into three apartments for the smell of gas.  Firefighters finally located the source and handled the problem.  Three apartment doors were forced open for safety purposes and the owners of all were notified as well as the Property Manager and maintenance came and secured the doors for the residents. REPORT WRITTEN

1030 hrs., Business check/ City of New Carrollton Pool, check clear.

1115 hrs., School check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

1145 hrs., School check/ Carrollton Elementary School, check clear.

1210 hrs., 8300 block Carrollton Pkwy/ Suspicious vehicle occupied, Officers located a vehicle with two occupants inside.  Driver and passenger stated they were stopped and looking at their phone for directions.  Cleared without incident.

1235 hrs., Princess Gdn. Pkwy and Annapolis Rd/ Assist Prince George's County Police with a disabled vehicle.  Vehicle was able to be moved off of the roadway.

1302 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

1339 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave./ Domestic Dispute, wife called stating her husband was not taking his medication and throwing things.  Once on scene Officers discovered that the male half was of good sound mind and the female was upset because he supposedly took her keys and she wants them back.  There was no physical altercation just a verbal argument.  Female was given information and advised what to do. REPORT WRITTEN

1410 hrs., Business check/ 8300 Block of Annapolis Rd (Foot Patrol), check clear.

1426 hrs., 7200 block Longbranch Dr./ Residential Alarm, Officers were cancelled by the alarm company prior to their arrival.

1450 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of Karen Elaine Dr., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

1515 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

1539 hrs., 8500 block Carrollton Pkwy/ Abandoned vehicle, vehicle has been parked there for several days with a missing front tire.  Vehicle was towed for parking violations. REPORT WRITTEN

1600 hrs., Business check/ Beckett Field, check clear.

1630 hrs., 8300 block Stanwood St/ Recovered Stolen vehicle, caller stated she took out charges on her granddaughter for the unauthorized use of her vehicle.  Officers checked with Teletype and NCIC and the vehicle was never entered as stolen.  She filed the report with Prince George's County Police and was advised to go back to their station for the follow up and reason why it was never entered as stolen.  All parties were advised and given information for assistance with the Granddaughter.

1720 hrs., Beltway/ Disabled vehicle, Officers placed flares up to keep the vehicle safe until their tow truck arrived.

1745 hrs., 6000 Block of Mentana St/ Suspicious Persons, caller called the station and advised there were several males hanging around in the area.  Upon arrival officers located one individual who came from a friends residence.

1825 Roommate Dispute/ 6500 block Lamont Pl/ roommates from the group home had a verbal dispute. The complainant, after the argument, went into the room and self-inflicted injuries. The group home manager confirmed the incident and EMS transported the complainant to the hospital. REPORT WRITTEN

1930 Assault/ 6600 block Lamont Dr. / the victim was walking on Good Luck Rd when two suspects approached from the rear and gave chase. The victim fled on foot, jumping a fence and breaking his ankle. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. EMS treated and transported the victim to Doctor's Hospital. It was later learned the incident occurred on the PGPD side and the investigation was turned over to PGPD. 

2035 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd /store was closing for the evening

2105 Domestic/ 5400 block 85th Ave / husband thought the wife was smoking weed in the house. After it was determined she didn't smoke

2108 Commercial Alarm/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd / the store had just closed for the evening. 

2130 Accident/ 7500 block Annapolis Rd W/B parties exchanged information with the assistance of officers

2215 Premise Check/ Plaza 30 parking lot was closed, and business was normal 

2355 Property Damage/ 8300 block Annapolis Rd (Parking Lot) vehicle caused minor damage to another in the parking lot. REPORT WRITTEN

0031 Suspicious Vehicle (Occ)/ 6200 block Westbrook Dr. / caller advised male was in the vehicle possibly intoxicated. The caller canceled officers prior to arrival

0035 Premise Check/ 6600 block Rycroft Ave/ area to include the park and Gavin St were clear

0126 Suspicious Vehicle/ 7600 block Riverdale Rd/ vehicle was legally parked

0208 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd /all clear, business as usual

0355 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. / area was clear, a group of young residents was being dropped off


0449 Check Welfare/ 8300 block Annapolis Rd / dispatch request to check on PGPD officer working part-time.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Report Written 0807 Hours - Suspicious Person - 7700 Block of Riverdale Rd: An unknown caller advised a male in gray was asleep under the stairwell unresponsive. Officers responded and made contact with the subject who advised he was on the bus all night and needed a place to sleep. The male checked negative for warrants and was sent on his way. 0645 Hours -Premise Check- 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0722 Hours -Premise Check- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0813 Hours -Vandalism- 7900 Block of Legation Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for the vandalism of a vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into. Officers gathered all information needed and generated a report.  Report Written 1028 Hours -Disorderly- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for a disorderly male.
