0645 hrs., 7400 block Riverdale Rd/ Alarm, alarm company advised several alarms going off in the building and elevator shaft.  Officers arrived to locate several workers in the building.  Officers spoke with the Maintenance Supervisor on scene who stated they have been having issues with the alarm and were attempting to get it fixed.  Officers checked the building while workers waited outside for any unauthorized persons.  Everything checked with no issues.

0735 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of 85th Ave, check clear.

0750 hrs., Business check/ Carrollton Enterprise, check clear.

0825 hrs., School check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

0910 hrs., Business check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

0945 hrs., 8300 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0958 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave/ Suspicious person, caller stated there was a male passed out on her back porch and she was scared.  Officers located the male, who was sleeping when we arrived.  Male stated he was at his Mother’s house waiting for her to get up.   The caller did not want to give any information but did state she did not know the male on her porch.  Male was run, advised, and sent on his way. REPORT WRITTEN

1030 hrs., Business check/ New Carrollton Public Library, check clear.

1106 hrs., Library/ Suspicious Person, Officers observed a juvenile male walking through the parking lot.  Officers stopped him, due to school being in session, and discovered he attends Parkdale High school.  Officers contacted Parkdale SRO and transported him back to school where they advised he was truant. REPORT WRITTEN

1129 hrs., 6100 block Lamont Dr. / Citizen Robbery, while speaking to the Victim it was discovered the incident took place at the Metro bus stop just outside of our jurisdiction on Riverdale Rd.  Metro Transit was contacted and they stated they would take the report and handle the incident.  Metro Transit stated they would come and talk to the Victim and did not need any further assistance from us.  A description was given on the radio to officers in the area and the rest Metro will handle.

1210 hrs., School check/ Margaret Brent School, check clear.

1220 hrs., 6100 Block of Lamont Dr. / Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

1300 hrs., Business check/ Metro Points Hotel (Foot Patrol), check clear.

1335 hrs., 8200 block Quentin St/ Residential Alarm, company stated it was a glass break unknown location.  Officers arrived and observed a window broken in the top corner of the side of the residence.  The window was too high for any attempt at a break in.  Officers spoke to the owners who stated it was old damage.  Officers still checked the residence with all doors and windows secure.

1413 hrs., Annapolis Rd and Harkins Rd/ Suspicious person, while assisting Prince George's County Police Officers observed a male walk out of the wooded area they recognized to have an open warrant.  Officers stopped him and ran his information; he came back with two open warrants through Prince George's County.  Officers transported him to DOC when he complained of hand pain; he has been transported to the hospital for treatment. REPORT WRITTEN

1530 hrs., Harkins Rd and Annapolis Rd/ Assist Prince George's County Police with a Metro bus and vehicle accident.  Officers assisted with traffic and persons on the bus.  Accident was handled by County Police.

1558 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. / Check on the welfare, caller stated there was a male lying on the ground and may need medical treatment.  Officers located the male who stated he believes he swallowed too many pills.  He did not know what type of pills but he wanted his stomach pumped.  Ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

1631 hrs., 6600 block Lamont Dr. / Parking complaint, caller stated a vehicle parked in front of his residence this morning.  Officers ran the tag and checked the residence but could not locate an owner for the vehicle to move it.  

1700 hrs., Business check/ Library, check clear.

1857 Property Damage/ 5300 block 85th Ave – REPORT WRITTEN

1940 ACRS/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd - vehicle struck another in the rear and was disabled. The striking vehicle was impounded by Charlie’s Towing. REPORT WRITTEN

2010 Disorderly/ 7800 block Riverdale Rd - subjects were gambling. Officers canvassed the area with negative results 

2130 Disorderly/ 5300 block 85th Ave - several subjects were in front of the building smoking marijuana. Officers canvassed the area with negative results 

2208 Accident/ 5900 block Lamont Dr. / vehicle struck a tree. The driver only wanted case numbers 

2216 Theft/ 5800 block 84th Ave - caller advised the landlord stole their items. No theft, landlord tenant and the caller advised to seek relief through the courts

2320 Premise Check/ 8100 block Annapolis Rd - area was clear

2350 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd - store closing for the evening. The area was clear

0002 Family Dispute/ 8500 block Oliver St - dispute with the step-father. The male was upset his girlfriend spoke negative about his deceased mother. The male elected to leave. 

0215 Premise Check/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd - no issues report, business as usual

0310 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. / area was clear

0430 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd - area was clear
