0610 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. - area was clear, no suspicious activity observed

0815 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. - officers were on foot at the scene of last night incident. Officers made contact with the victim's friends, no issues

1000 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd -met with staff, no issues reported 

1019 Trespassing/ 6400 block Carrollton Ct - unknown male attempted to open the door of the residence. The homeowner was on scene and scared the suspect away. REPORT WRITTEN

1215 Theft Arrest/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd -two subjects were detained by loss prevention for stealing. Subjects had no identification and were transported to Hyattsville DOC for processing. One subject had an open warrant which was served. REPORT WRITTEN

1520 Traffic Detail/ 6100 block Lamont Dr. - School dismissal for buses leaving the school

1527 Burglary/ 7300 block Sara St -unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked front kitchen window. While in the residence the suspect ransacked all bedrooms and stole a T.V. The scene was processed for latent prints with negative results. CID and NC 4 were notified. REPORT WRITTEN

1629 Disorderly/ 5400 block 85th Ave -several males loitering in the area. The subjects were friends attending the vigil

1845 hrs., 8300 block Carrollton Pkwy/ Vandalism, caller stated while he was away today someone threw a brick into his bedroom window.  The window was smashed and destroyed by the brick.  Entry was not made into the residence and no items were stolen. REPORT WRITTEN

1853 hrs., 7700 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop was cleared without incident.

1900 hrs., 7800 Block Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop was cleared without incident.

1910 hrs., Auburn Ave and Good Luck Rd/ Accident, upon officers arrival it was discovered it was not an accident but a vehicles axle broke and hit the curb.  The vehicle broke down outside of our jurisdiction but officers set up flares for safety.  The driver had a tow truck in route.

1934 hrs., 5800 block Oland St/ Check on the welfare, a home called stating a female that lived there was upset and threatened others in the house.  Caller stated the female left the residence and officers located her in front of the Lowe's.  The female was calm with officers and showed no signs of wanting to cause harm to herself or anyone else.  Her mother came to Lowe's and picked her up to return her home.  There were no other issues.

1950 hrs., Business check/ Lowe's Home Improvement, check clear.

2020 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Shoplifter, caller stated a male attempted to steal items and left in a vehicle.  Once officers arrived they spoke to several employees who stated they did not call and had no idea what officers were talking about.

2050 hrs., Annapolis Rd and Ardwick Ardmore Blvd/ Check on the welfare, caller stated she was taking a friend home when she began acting strange.  Caller stated she believed she was on some kind of drug.  Fireboard arrived, checked the female out, and could not find anything medically wrong with her.  The caller stated she would take her home.

2100 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. This check was conducted on foot, a candle light vigil was underway.

2130 hrs., Business Check/ Carrollton Enterprise, check clear.

2215 hrs., Business Check/ 8300 block Annapolis Rd, foot patrol, check clear.

2240 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. This check was conducted on foot, a candle light vigil was underway.

2250 hrs., Longfellow St at 85th Ave/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2310 hrs., Business check/ Beckett Field, check clear.

2315 hrs., 7500 Block of Good Luck Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2331 hrs., 7400 Block of Good Luck Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0003 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. This check was conducted on foot, a candle light vigil was underway.

0011 hrs., 6200 block Lamont Dr./ Suspicious Vehicle occupied, officers discovered a vehicle with a male and female inside.  When officers spoke to the occupants of the vehicle, they stated they live in the area and were just sitting in the vehicle talking.  They were sent on their way.

0045 hrs., 5700 block of 85th Ave/ Traffic stop, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and subsequently the driver was intoxicated.  The passengers were asked to step out, due to the vehicle being impounded for safekeeping.  When officers conducted a search incident to arrest, a handgun was located in the rear of the vehicle within the passengers reach.  The driver was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and the passenger was placed under arrest for the Handgun in the vehicle. REPORT WRITTEN

0200 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr./ Neighbor dispute, caller stated all day long her upstairs neighbor was walking heavy and making a lot of noise.  At the time of the call she was not actively making the noise so she was advised to contact Landlord tenant office for a possible resolution.  

0230 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0304 hrs., 7300 block Good Luck Rd/ Fail to pay, cab driver called and stated his fair failed to pay for his services.  The male exited the cab and walked away without paying, however he returned with money to pay the fair.  Officers were cancelled prior to arrival.  

0330 hrs., Business check/ Shell Gas station, check clear.

0350 hrs., Business check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

0415 hrs., Business check/ Darcar's, check clear.

0430 hrs., Business check/ Metro Points Hotel, check clear.  

0500 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.
