Departmental Accident involving a City of New Carrollton Police Cruiser..
Officer was outside of his vehicle when it was struck by another vehicle.
The Officers did not suffer any injuries. MSP arrived on scene and conducted
the investigation for the accident and NC1, NC2, NC3, and NC4 were all notified
of the incident. REPORT WRITTEN
0823 hrs., 8300 block Oglethorpe St/ Hit and
Run, caller stated their vehicle was struck on September 9th. The caller
stated his daughter saw the information on the vehicle and provided what they
could to the officers. Due to the lateness of the call but the caller
having valid information on the striking vehicle a property damage report was
completed. REPORT WRITTEN
0845 hrs., 6600 block Auburn St/ Parking
complaint, a vehicle was parked in front of the callers residence blocking the
driveway. When officers arrived on scene the vehicle was already moved.

Accident, both vehicles had to be towed due to being disabled. No
injuries to any party on scene. ACRS report was written. REPORT WRITTEN

Vandalism, Officers were informed by Public Works employees that an unknown
person caused damage to the front door window of the building. After
investigating it appears the damage was caused by a possible BB gun. REPORT

Lost Tags, Officers were flagged down by a citizen who stated he lost his tags
in the 6500 block of Riverdale Rd. He was advised it was out of our
jurisdiction and advised what he needed to do.

Residential Alarm, Officers responded to the location for a panic
alarm. Officers met the resident, who stated her husband had forgot the code
for the alarm and accidently activated it while entering the residence.

1914 hrs., Hit and
Run/Recovered property 8401 Annapolis road, the caller stated
she went Inside to Save A lot to shop, upon her return, she observed
damages on her vehicle and wanted to make a report. The caller was
unable to present a driver’s license and registration card to officers on
scene. She stated the vehicle belongs to her husband. A driver’s license
and registration check conducted which revealed the caller did
not have a valid driver’s license and the vehicle had a
tag pickup order effective August 29, 2017, for suspended
insurance. After explaining the circumstances to the caller, she states she no
longer want police services and did not file a report, however; officers still
recovered the registration plates. The vehicle was on private property in a
designated parking space and subsequently removed by a private towing

dispute/ 7600 block Vicar street/ caller wanted officers to
talk her 11-year-old child about going to a new school district and
to make her feel comfortable. Officers advised the child and parent, and
both were pleased with the outcome. All clear no report.
2015 hrs., Sound
for gunshots/ 5300 block 85th avenue/ security for the
property stated he heard two shots come from an area near building 5300 (85th avenue).
Officers canvassed the area for any sign of shots fired,
injuries or property damaged with negative results. All clear.
2042 hrs., Missing
person 6500 block Lamont place/ while interviewing
the caller, the missing persons in question walked in on the interview. She was
unharmed and advised she took the wrong bus earlier and was late getting home.
All clear no report.
2107 hrs.,
Disorderly/ 6000 block 89th avenue/ Unknown caller reported, several
males loitering in the street, being Disorderly and loud. Officers
stopped several males; warrants were check which revealed one person had an
open warrant through M.S.P for driving on a suspended license. This individual
was placed under arrest and transported to Hyattsville, MD district one
department of corrections for the warrant service. Photographs were taken of
remaining suspects for report documentation; they were advised and sent on
