0650 hrs., New Carrollton Public Library/ Commercial Alarm, alarm company stated the alarm was coming from the maintenance/service door.  Officers arrived and all doors were locked and secured.  Officers located maintenance workers in the building who stated the alarm is acting up again but they finally got it shut off.  No Report.

 

0730 hrs., Premise check/ Shops at New Carrollton, check clear.

 

0800 hrs., Premise check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

 

0820 hrs., 8100 block Powhatan St/ Follow up to a hit and run from yesterday, officers arrived to gather information on the driver of the vehicle.  The driver was not at the location but arrived approximately 20 minutes after His family called him to speak to us.  The driver showed up, but was unable to provide any proof of registration, therefore officers impounded the vehicle for registration violations. 0900 hrs., Metro Points Hotel/ Disorderly, caller was hotel employees who stated that they were having a dispute with a customer.  Officers arrived and spoke to both parties. The patron was to have left his room yesterday and when he came back to get his items hotel staff had taken them out of the room and stored them.  The patron just wanted his items back but his girlfriend was getting upset and being loud so staff called.  All items were returned and the patron left without further issues.  No Report.

1045 hrs., 8400 block of Annapolis rd/ Lock out, caller was a citizen requesting assistance with getting their keys locked in their vehicle.  Officers were able to assist and get the door unlocked for the caller.  No Report.

1306 hrs., 6100 block 84th Ave/ Harassment, caller stated his ex-girlfriend somehow hacked his Facebook account and posted nude pictures of him.  Caller stated she lives in Seat pleasant.  He was advised on what action he needed to take.  No Report.

 

1335 hrs., School check/ Charles Carroll Middle School, check clear.

 

1402 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave/ Hit and Run, caller stated his vehicle was struck at least two days ago.  While speaking to the caller it was discovered that the accident occurred in Prince George's County not within the city of New Carrollton.  County officers were notified and responded to the scene.  No Report.

1635 hrs., Annapolis Rd at 85th Ave/ Vehicle accident, caller stated two vehicles were in a minor vehicle accident.  Officers arrived and no parties claimed injury and information was exchanged by officers.  No Report.

 

1648 hrs., Good Luck Rd at Lamont Dr/ Hit and Run, caller stated a Metro bus was struck by an unknown vehicle.  Officers arrived and discovered the accident occurred on the Prince George's County side of Good Luck Rd.  They were notified and an officer responded.  No Report.

 

1705 hrs., Premise check/ Good Luck Park, check clear.

 

1726 hrs., Bojangles/ Disorderly, caller stated there is a homeless female in the business for several hours.  They asked her to leave several times but she refused.  Officers arrived and she left without any issues.  No Report.

1827 Hrs. Disorderly 8300 block Annapolis Rd.- Officers responded to the listed location for a disorderly female. Once on scene officers made contact with the caller who stated a female’s subject had entered the store smoking a cigarette inside the T/A. The caller stated she asked the female subject to leave the store. The female subject refused and began to knock over merchandise at the counter. Officers then made contact with the female subject who officers then observed hold a clear glass pipe used to smoke crack cocaine. The female subject was then placed under arrest and transported to the Department of Corrections for the presentation of charges. Report Written

0342 Hrs. Domestic Dispute. 7500 block Riverdale Rd. Officers responded to the listed location for a domestic dispute. Prior to officer arrival, police communication advised that the male half was wanted in another local county. Once on scene officer observed the male subject occupy a vehicle that was double-parked. Officers then approached the vehicle identifying as New Carrollton Police. Officers instructed the male half out of the vehicle and placed him under arrest for his open warrant.  Officers then observed a passenger in the vehicle making furtive movements. Officers then ordered the passenger out of the vehicle. Once the passenger exited the vehicle and was detained he stated he was in possession of a firearm. The firearm was located and secured and the passenger was then placed under arrest. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle a second firearm was located in the vehicle.  The passenger of the vehicle was transported to the Department of Corrections for the presentation of charges. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment for previous health complications. Report Written
