0830 Premise Check/ 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. / area was clear

1046 Accident/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd / parties were exchanging information. 

1136 Suspicious Person/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd / store called in reference to a male who was trespassing. Officers responded, detained, and identified the subject. A warrant check was negative and the subject was advised and sent on his way. REPORT WRITTEN

1159 Premise Check/ 5400 block 85th Ave area was clear, no suspicious activity observed.

1254 Suspicious Person/ Veterans Pkwy @ Annapolis Rd homeless male panhandling on the median. The male checked negative for warrants and was advised of panhandling within city limits. The male was photographed and sent on his way. REPORT WRITTEN

1325 Premise Check/ 8500 block Annapolis Rd spoke with the general manager, no issues were reported

1440 Premise Check/ 8300 block Oliver St / area was clear

1520 Premise Check/ 6100 block 86th Ave / area was clear

1600 Premise Check/ Ravenswood @ Fremont area was clear

1635 Fraud/ 6106 Princess Garden Pkwy an unknown suspect used the victims SSN and told him he owed money. REPORT WRITTEN

1738 Vandalism/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd  the complainant alleged an unknown suspect attempted to burglarize the apartment. All evidence supported the complainant’s report of someone attempting to gain entry into her sister’s apartment. The sister did not want to press charges and property management was on scene. REPORT WRITTEN

1845 hrs., 7700 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

1920 hrs., 7700 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Loud explosion and Officers located a pole on fire.  The transformer blew and caught the pole on fire; Officers closed the roadway, (Until approximately 2010 hrs.)  The pole was handled by Prince George's County Police and Pepco, we assisted with traffic control, all cleared without incident.

1951 hrs., 8400 block Annapolis Rd/ Child locked in the vehicle, Officers assisted with the extraction of the child by breaking out the vehicle window.  The father placed the child in the vehicle and the child was playing with the keys. The father did not realize it and shut the door and the child locked them.  Officers called for fireboard to check the condition of the child due to the heat and they cleared them. REPORT WRITTEN

2010 hrs., Business check/ Carrollton Enterprise, check clear.

2045 hrs., Residential check/ 5400 block of 85th Ave, check clear.

2110 hrs., Residential check/ Heritage Square, check clear.

2140 hrs., Business check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

2215 hrs., Business check/ 8000 block Annapolis Rd, check clear.

2240 hrs., 7-11/ Theft, caller stated there was a male in the business who stole a bag of potato chips.  Officers assisted with the matter and it was handled in the store, clear with none.

2320 hrs., Residential check/ 5400 Block of 85th Ave, check clear.

0005 hrs., 8300 block Carrollton Pkwy/ Males in the vehicle smoking CDS, Officers arrived and located the males.  Officers arrived when the males were exiting the vehicle to go back into their residence.  No CDS was located at the time and all parties were advised.

0030 hrs., Business check/ New Carrollton City Pool, check clear.

0106 hrs., 8300 block Oglethorpe St/ Domestic Dispute, Officers arrived and spoke to both parties who stated they were having a verbal argument over the location of a key.  Both parties were uncooperative with information but Officers did not see any signs other than it being verbal at this time. REPORT WRITTEN

0140 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of Karen Elaine Dr. / check clear.

0204 hrs., 7400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0215 hrs., Business check/ Shell Gas station, check clear.

0220 hrs., 7400 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0240 hrs., 7600 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0300 hrs., Residential check/ 5400 Block of 85th Ave, check clear.

0325 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0345 hrs., Business check/ Darcar's Dodge, check clear.

0350 hrs., Veterans Pkwy and Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

0420 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0450 hrs., Business check/ Darcar's Dodge, check clear.

0745 Hours-Theft From Auto-7600 Block of Powhatan St: Officers responded to this location for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Officers gathered as much information as available and provided the caller with case numbers for their insurance company. 0628 Hours-Accident-Annapolis Rd. @ I-495 SB: Officers responded to this location for a report of a two-vehicle accident, which left both vehicles disabled. Both vehicles were impounded, and officers were able to exchange information for both drivers. Report Written 0709  Hours- Family Dispute-5300 Block of 85th Ave: Officers responded to this location for a report of a family dispute. Officers met with both parties and advised them to seek assistance through the District Courts. 0607 Hours- Suspicious Person- 5200 Block of 85th Ave: Officers responded to the listed location for a suspicious male inside the building. Upon the officers' arrival, the male subject was already gone. No Report 0703  Hours-  Stolen Vehicle- 54 00 Block of  85th Ave: Officers responded to the listed location regarding a stolen vehicle report. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the caller, who advised that his vehicle was missing. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been impounded for a parking violation.
