What Should You Do?
The most important thing you can do during hurricane season is to get yourself, your family and your home prepared. Some highlights on how to prepare and take action:
Stay informed.
Plan and Take Action- Prepare for the unexpected.
  • Develop an Emergency Plan for your family and for your pets
  • Put together a basic disaster supplies kit (water, change of clothes, snacks, flashlight, etc.).
  • Recover- Wait until an area is declared safe before returning home.

0610 Hrs., M.P.S. 7700 block Riverdale Road, Day shift Officers responded to Prince Georges County Hospital to assist Night shift with a suspect on PCP who has an open Warrant in Virginia, and the warrant is extraditable. The suspect required extensive testing and exams by the medical personnel due to the dangerous substances he voluntary consumed before his arrival. Prince George's County Sheriff Teletype and Prince William Sheriff Office notified. REPORT WRITTEN 
0751 Hrs., Commercial Alarm 8500 block Annapolis Road / Business opened for the day, accidentally by employee all clear, no report.  
0820 Hrs., Theft From Auto 7900 block Legation Road, The Caller stated an unknown suspect entered into his unsecured Toyota Rav4, and stole a Samsung Tablet and ten dollars in change then fled in an unknown direction making good of his escape. REPORT WRITTEN
0850 Hrs., Roommate Dispute 6100 block 85th Avenue Communication advised two roommates having a verbal dispute over the T.V. remote. Upon officer’s arrival, the caller stated the disagreement has settled, and no required further police services. No report. 
0945 Hrs., Station Call 6016 Princess Garden Parkway, An citizen wanted officers to evict her adult granddaughter. However, she was instructed to seek further assistance through Land Lord/Tenant Court located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. No report.  
1116 Hrs., Accident / 7600 Block of Riverdale Road, A pedestrian was struck while in the crosswalk by Unit-1. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries, however, PGFD Ambulance #830 transported the victim to the hospital for further medical attention. Unit-1 remained on scene and did not sustain any damages. REPORT WRITTEN
 1240 Hrs., Check Welfare / 7300 block Long Branch Drive; Communications advised they received a call from the citizen, who was talking "Nonsense" over the telephone and wanted officers to check the well-being of the caller. Officers responded and made contact with the caller and her caregiver. The caller appeared excellent physical condition, the caregiver advised the caller has Alzheimer and likes to dial random numbers on the phone, everything precise, no report.    
1305 Hrs., Check Welfare 6900 block Good Luck Road; Fire personnel requested police assistance for an elderly citizen that fell. However, they wanted police on the scene in case of an emergency force entry. The grandson of the elderly citizen was on the premises, and he allowed entry for emergency personnel to enter to provide medical attention. No report.   
1438 Hrs., Traffic Complaint / 7500 block of Annapolis Road, An unknown caller reported a burgundy Nissan Sentra with Maryland registration driving reckless in the area. A canvass of the area yielded negative results. No report.  
1617 Hrs., Dispute 7600 block Riverdale road, The caller reported she ordered food from a takeout restaurant, and when the delivery driver arrived he attempted to charge her credit card twice. Officers called the business and communicated with the manager who stated the customer (caller) paid for a single purchase. Dispute settled both parties advised and sent on their way. No report.  
1852 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE.-  ALL CLEAR.

1915 HOURS- HIT AND RUN- 7800 BLOCK POWHATAN ST.-  UNIT 1 STRUCK UNIT 2 (PARKED), UNIT 1 THEN FLED THE SCENE WITHOUT PROVIDING REQUIRED INFORMATION.  A.C.R.S. COMPLETED. REPORT WRITTEN

1938 HOURS- TRESPASSING- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.- OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR REPORT OF A MALE PANHANDLING AND HARASSING PATRONS.  THE MALE WAS STOPPED, IDENTIFIED, CHECKED NEGATIVE, PHOTOGRAPHED, ADVISED AND SENT ON HIS WAY. REPORT WRITTEN

2030 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8500 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

2130 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE- 7600 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD.-  OFFICERS WERE FLAGGED DOWN IN REFERENCE TO A SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE LEFT IN FRONT OF A VACANT APARTMENT DOOR.  THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED BY USPS, CONTAINING A CELL PHONE. DUE TO THE ADDRESSED APARTMENT BEING VACANT, THE PACKAGE WAS SECURED IN NCPD PROPERTY FOR SAFEKEEPING. REPORT WRITTEN

2154 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- DARCARS DODGE-  ALL CLEAR.

2207 HOURS- LANDLORD/TENANT DISPUTE- N.C.P.D. HQ- OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE STATION TO MEET A CITIZEN WHO REQUIRED INFORMATION ABOUT REMOVING A FAMILY FRIEND FROM HER HOME.  THE CITIZEN WAS NOT A CITY RESIDENT, WAS MET AND ADVISED TO SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM THE DISTRICT COURT COMMISSIONERS OFFICE AND LANDLORD/TENANT.

2208 HOURS- ROOMMATE DISPUTE-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE LOCATION FOR A ROOMMATE DISPUTE.  OFFICERS MET THE CALLER, WHO WAS ARGUING WITH HER ROOMMATE WHO WAS NOT ON SCENE.  THE CALLER WAS REFERRED TO THE COURT COMMISSIONERS OFFICE FOR SERVICES.

2248 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

2317 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5500 BLOCK KAREN ELAINE DR.-  ALL CLEAR.

2334 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- DARCARS DODGE-  ALL CLEAR.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company.
