0700 Lock Out/ 5400 block 85th Ave -residents were locked in the building. Fire dept. opened the frozen door

0713 Check Welfare/ 5400 block 85th Ave #203 -officers responded to check on the resident about their utilities. Officers discovered the resident didn’t have electricity. New Carrollton Code Enforcement responded to conduct an inspection. Officers contacted the PGFD Office of Fire Marshal and Inspections and were advised a resident can choose to or not have utilities. Crisis Response (SAM800) responded and conducted a mental evaluation of the resident and concluded she was not in the right frame of mind. For her safety, Crisis Response filed an emergency petition and requested officers to transport on their behalf only. The resident was transported to University of Maryland Hospital, Cheverly, MD for an emergency petition. NC3 was advised. REPORT WRITTEN

0920 Residential Alarm/ 5400 block 85th Ave -Alarm from an unknown unit. Officers checked all doors and they were secure

0927 Found/ 5400 block 85th Ave - while handling the Alarm call. In the hallway in front of the door was a red case with a drill and bits. REPORT WRITTEN

0942 Theft from Auto/ 5300 block 85th Ave -after speaking with the victim, it was determined the Theft occurred in Beltsville

1005 Landlord Tenant/ 6200 block 85th Pl - the landlord and tenant requested officers to be present when the landlord checked the residence. There’s been an ongoing problem and both were advised to seek the assistance of the commissioner.

1230 Premise Check/ 6100 block Lamont Dr. - met with school security and no issues were reported 

1350 Accident/ 6400 block Fairborn Terr.- PG county bus struck a parked vehicle. Accident handled by PGPD

1408 Residential Alarm/ 6000 block 85th Ave -alarm from the front door. The front door and the rest of the residence were clear. 

1643 Disorderly/ 5300 block 85th Ave -caller wanted to speak with officers about their child being bullied. Officers attempted to make contact however; the caller was not on scene 

1815 HOURS- NOISE COMPLAINT- 5300 BLOCK 85TH AVE . - CALLER REPORTED NEIGHBOR UPSTAIRS HAD CHILDREN PURPOSELY JUMPING AND RUNNING AROUND. WE MET WITH PROBLEM HALF AND ADVISED HER OF THE COMPLAINT. BOTH PARTIES WERE ADVISED TO BRING UP THEIR CONCERNS TO LEASING OFFICE MANAGEMENT. 

1835 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS PERSON- 6100 BLOCK 85TH AVE.CALLER REPORTED TWO SUSPICIOUS PERSONS WALKING AND KNOCKING ON DOORS. OFFICER MADE CONTACT AND IT WAS DISCOVERED THEY WERE VERIZON REPS. THEY WERE ADVISED AND SENT ON THEIR WAY.

1950 HOURS- DOMESTIC STANDBY- 6400 BLOCK CARROLLTON CT. - CALLER REQUESTED OFFICERS TO STANDBY AT RESIDENCE IN ORDER TO GET ALL BELONGINGS FROM THE PROPERTY. DUE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE SITUATION SHE WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. 

2010 HOURS- ACCIDENT- ANNAPOLIS RD/HARKINS RD - UNIT 1 STRUCK UNIT 2, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES.  OFFICERS FACILITATED AN EXCHANGE OF REQUIRED INFORMATION ON SCENE.

2117 HOURS- HIT AND RUN- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. - CALLER REPORTED THEY LEFT THEIR VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT AND WHEN THEY CAME BACK IT HAD BEEN STRUCK BY AN UNKNOWN VEHICLE. REPORT WRITTEN

2145 HOURS- ATTEMPT THEFT FROM AUTO- 7800 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. - CALLER REPORTED TWO MALES WERE ATTEMPTING TO BREAK INTO HER VEHICLE. OFFICERS ARRIVED ON SCENE AND THE CALLER REPORTED OFFICERS WERE SPEAKING TO THE SUSPECTS. OFFICERS STOPPED TO SPEAK WITH SECURITY STAFF WHO REPORTED THEY WERE WALKING BUILDING TO BUILDING TO LOCK THE LAUNDRY ROOMS. OFFICERS CHECKED THE VEHICLE, WHICH SHOWED NO SIGNS OF BEING TAMPERED WITH. 

2200 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD. - ALL CLEAR.

2230 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE. - ALL CLEAR

2240 HOURS- MISSING PERSON- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. - CALLER REPORTED SON MAY HAVE POSSIBLY RUN AWAY. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO LOCATION AND CALLER REPORTED THE SON HAD RETURNED PAST CURFEW AFTER BEING OUT.

2314 HOURS- CITIZEN ROBBERY- 7500 BLOCK GOOD LUCK RD. - WHILE ON PATROL, OFFICERS OBSERVED A VEHICLE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARK. WHEN OFFICERS MADE CONTACT WITH THE OCCUPANTS THEY REPORTED THEIR EMPLOYEE, THE VICTIM, HAD BEEN ROBBED. THE VICTIM REPORTED HE WAS A CAB DRIVER WHO PICKED UP 3 HISPANIC MALES IN FRONT OF 8300 BLOCK CARROLLTON PKWY, NEW CARROLLTON, MD. THE THREE MALES ENTERED HIS VEHICLE AND TOLD HIM THEY WERE HEADED TO GREENBELT, MD. ONCE THEY ENTERED THE 7500 BLOCK OF GOOD LUCK RD, THE REAR RIGHT PASSENGER CHAMBERED A ROUND INTO AN UNKNOWN HAND GUN, PLACED IT TO THE VICTIM'S HEAD, AND TOLD THE VICTIM TO DRIVE INTO THE PARK. THE THREE SUSPECTS DEMANDED AND TOOK HIS MONEY, CELLPHONE, WALLET, KEYS (HOME AND VEHICLE), AND FLED THE SCENE MAKING GOOD ON THEIR ESCAPE. K-9 WAS REQUESTED AND BEGAN TO TRACK. THE TRACK ENDED AT 6500 BLOCK WILHELM DR., LANHAM, MD. DET. ROBINSON, PGPD RST, AND PGPD K-9 RESPONDED TO THE SCENE. NCPD 2 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. REPORT WRITTEN

2345 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5500 BLOCK KAREN ELAINE DR. - ALL CLEAR.

0030 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7500 BLOCK GOOD LUCK RD. - ALL CLEAR

0130 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. - ALL CLEAR

0200 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD. - ALL CLEAR
0230 HOURS-THEFT FROM AUTO- 5900 BLOCK 85TH AVE. - CALLER REPORTED OBSERVING MALES BREAKING INTO THEIR VEHICLE AND THEN GOING INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. OFFICERS ARRIVED IN THE AREA AND CANVASSED THE AREA FOR ANY VEHICLES WITH DAMAGE, WHICH YIELDED NEGATIVE RESULTS. OFFICERS ATTEMPTED TO MAKE CONTACT WITH RESIDENTS OF THE ADDRESS GIVEN WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. PGPD POLICE DISPATCH ALSO ADVISED THERE WAS NO CONTACT INFORMATION. AFTER EXHAUSTING ALL EFFORTS OFFICERS CLEARED THE SCENE. 

0340 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS PERSON – 5900 BLOCK 89TH AVE. - CALLER REPORTED UNKNOWN MALE WAS KNOCKING ON THE DOOR, WALKING IN THE YARD, AND PROCEEDED TO ENTER A BLACK 4 DOOR SEDAN. OFFICER ARRIVED ON SCENE AND STOPPED THE 4 DOOR SEDAN. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE MALE WAS ATTEMPTING TO SEE HIS GIRLFRIEND. THE PARENTS WERE UNAWARE OF THIS MALE AND SUBSEQUENTLY CALLED THE POLICE. THE MALE WAS ADVISED AND SENT ON HIS WAY.

0400 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE. - ALL CLEAR

0430 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD. - ALL CLEAR.


0500 HOURS- COMMERCIAL ALARM – 8500 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD -  ALARM ACTIVATION FROM FRONT DOOR. OFFICERS RESPONDED, AND DISCOVERED THE FOOD DELIVERY TRUCK DRIVER. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE DRIVER HE ADVISED HE HAD THE KEY TO THE FRONT DOOR AND WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO PUT IN THE CODE FOR THE ALARM IT HAD BEEN CHANGED. HE REPORTED THE MANAGER SHOULD BE THERE SHORTLY AND THAT HIS COMPANY WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE STORE MANAGER.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Officers responded and made contact with the subject who advised he was on the bus all night and needed a place to sleep. The male checked negative for warrants and was sent on his way.
