0714 Premise Check/ 85th Ave Apts. - area was clear, no suspicious activity observed

0812 Premise Check/ 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr. - area was clear

1053 Suspicious Vehicle/ 7500 block Riverdale Rd -vehicle parked on the road had altered expiration sticker and expired registration. Vehicle was cited and impounded. REPORT WRITTEN

1150 Premise Check/ 6100 block Lamont Dr. - area was clear

1202 Vehicle Impound/ 6000 block 86th Ave - vehicle had expired tags, the vehicle was impounded. REPORT WRITTEN

1208  Vandalism to Auto/ 7600 block Fontainebleau Dr. -  incident occurred in the past. The complainant fixed the window; therefore officers couldn't verify the incident.

1306 Accident/ 8500 block Powhatan St -parties exchanged info with the assistance of officers

1349 Theft/ 5300 block 85th Ave -caller complained their Lyft driver refused to return her wallet. Caller canceled prior to arrival

1409 Notification/ 7400 block Farmcrest Dr. - caller wanted to report someone knocked on her door at 0200 in the morning. 

1450 Premise Check/ 8300 block Annapolis Rd -no issues, business as usual

1536 Recovered Property/ 6400 block Fairborn Terr. - vehicle was parked in an abandoned property with no tires. Officers conducted a registration check which revealed a tag pick up order. The tags were removed and placed in property. REPORT WRITTEN

1615 Vehicle Impound/ 8400 block Cathedral Ave- tag reader's alerted the officer to a vehicle with suspended tags. REPORT WRITTEN

1750 hrs., 5500 block Karen Elaine Dr./ Suspicious Person, caller stated there was an unknown female staying right outside of the laundry room in the building.  When Officers arrived they spoke to the caller who describe a local homeless woman, but she left prior to Officers arrival.  

1820 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

1850 hrs., Business check/ CVS (Foot Patrol), check clear.

1915 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

1930 hrs., Foodway/ Vehicle accident in the parking lot between two vehicles.  Both vehicles backed into each other while exiting parking spaces.  Both vehicles had minor damage and no injuries; information was exchanged between parties by officers.

1940 hrs., School check/ Carrollton Elementary School, check clear.

1950 hrs., 85th Ave at Westbrook Dr./ Suspicious Person,. Male was walking in the middle of the street and when he passed the clearly marked police vehicle he hit the hood with his hand.  Officers stopped him and found him to be extremely intoxicated.  Due to the weather and his condition he was escorted home for his safety and in the care of his mother in law. REPORT WRITTEN

2020 hrs., 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ Caller stated she was on the phone with her sister and could hear her nephew yelling in the background.  Officers spoke to the sister (home owner) who stated her son was having an argument with his girlfriend over the phone.  She stated he took a walk to calm down; officers canvassed the area to check on his welfare, with negative results.

2040 hrs., Popeye's/ Assist Prince George's County Police, with a fight between two males involved in a physical altercation inside the business.  Upon Officers arrival, there was no sign of an altercation the caller stated the males left prior to Officers arrival.

2123 hrs., 6100 block 86th Ave/ Disorderly, caller stated her brother was banging at their back door.  When speaking to the caller and her mother, they advised they had no paperwork to keep him away from the house and his license stated he was a residence of that location.  Caller was advised he legally lived at the residence and they cannot keep him out of there just because he has been staying with his girlfriend for a while.  All parties were advised.

2156 hrs., 7400 block Annapolis Rd/ Assist Prince George's County with a Commercial Alarm going off from the back door of the business.  Officers checked the business and all doors and windows were secure, no sign of entry into the business.  

2211 hrs., 7700 Block of Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2220 hrs., 8600 Block of Annapolis Rd/Traffic stop, stop cleared without incident.

2235 hrs., 7700 block Riverdale Rd/ Commercial Alarm, alarm company called stating the alarm from the rear door was activated.  Officers checked all doors and windows and they were secure, unknown reason for the alarm activation.

2305 hrs., Business check, Plaza 30, check clear.

2325 hrs., Business check, 7-11, check clear.

2335 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave/ Suspicious activity, Officers observed a vehicle with its lights off at a closed business, then circle around the building and leave quickly.  Officers then stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver who stated he was attending church service and went to get something at CVS and realized it was closed.  Officers observed the church open for service and sent the male on his way.

0002 hrs., 6400 block 85th Ave/ Car Alarm was going off, caller stated for the last hour the car alarm was going off and no one shut it off.  Officers located the owner who stated it was a mechanical issue from the car being stolen about a month ago.  The alarm was stopped by the owner.

0015 hrs., 5400 block 85th Ave/ Loud Party complaint, caller stated there was a party that was loud in the building.  Officers located the party and advised them and they complied and turned the music down.

0045 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0110 hrs., Business check/ Plaza 30, check clear.

0135 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of Karen Elaine Dr., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

0200 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

0259 hrs., 8000 block Annapolis Rd/ Check on the welfare, caller stated male was sitting in the stairwell of the church and they were afraid he was freezing.  Officers approached the male who was sitting in the stairwell with a space heater and bundled up with blankets.  Officers asked if he required medical assistance and he refused.  Officers advised the male to unplug the space heater and be on his way.  

0307 hrs., 8100 block Annapolis Rd/ Traffic stop, Officers located the vehicle occupied at an apartment complex, with two occupants.  Prior to officers approaching the vehicle, the female exited and stated she lived at the apartment complex and was being dropped off by the driver.  Once the female exited the vehicle and entered the building, the vehicle left the area.  Upon the vehicle leaving the area, Officers observed several violations of the vehicle as it left the complex, Officers subsequently stopped the vehicle. REPORT WRITTEN

0338 hrs., 5900 block Mentana St/ Theft, caller stated someone stole money from him.  Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who was extremely intoxicated and stated he lost his credit card at a restaurant in Riverdale.  Officers asked if any money was spent on the card and he stated he did not know.  Officers advised him it did not occur in our jurisdiction.

0405 hrs., Business check/ Shell Gas Station, check clear.

0420 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

0445 hrs., Business check/ Carrollton Enterprise, check clear.


0505 hrs., Business check/ Metro Points hotel, check clear.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Officers responded and made contact with the subject who advised he was on the bus all night and needed a place to sleep. The male checked negative for warrants and was sent on his way. 0645 Hours -Premise Check- 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0722 Hours -Premise Check- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0813 Hours -Vandalism- 7900 Block of Legation Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for the vandalism of a vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into. Officers gathered all information needed and generated a report.  Report Written 1028 Hours -Disorderly- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for a disorderly male. Upon the officers' arrival, the male subject was GOA.  No Report 1134 Hours -Theft- 7700 Block of Riverdale Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for theft. The theft suspect fled on foot and was apprehended with the merchandise in his possession. The suspect was transported to the Department of Corrections for presentation of cha
