0635 Suicide/ 6200 block 87th Ave / father found the decedent in his bedroom closet suffering from asphyxiation. Engine 848 responded and pronounced the decedent. PGPD Homicide Evidence and OCME responded to the scene. After the on-scene investigation, the OCME released the decedent to the family. REPORT WRITTEN

0745 Assist Fire/ 5400 block 85th Ave - resident refused to allow the fire dept. in his residence. Upon arrival, fire personnel advised they gained entry and did not need our assistance 

0810 Theft from Auto/ 6600 block Adrian St - an unknown suspect shattered the victim's window using an unknown tool and stole the victims JVC radio. The suspect(s) fled in an unknown direction making good their escape. REPORT WRITTEN

0920 Theft from Auto/ 8400 block Sprague Pl / unknown suspect shattered the rear window and stole various tools from the vehicle. REPORT WRITTEN

1018 Check Welfare/ 8400 block Annapolis Rd / store personnel advised a customer had collapsed inside the store. Upon arrival, officers observed a male stating he needed to see a doctor. The male was transported to UM Medical Center for treatment. The male had an open warrant and PGSO was advised. REPORT WRITTEN

1045 Accident x2 / 8600 block Annapolis Rd /parties exchanged information with the assistance of officers 

1110 Residential Alarm/ 6100 block 85th Pl / alarm from living room area. All doors and windows checked secure, unknown reason for activation no visible FAR 

1135 Vandalism to Auto/ 5400 block 85th Ave / an unknown suspect slashed the victim's tires and fled. REPORT WRITTEN

1210 Premise Check/ 5400 block 85th Ave / residents complained of drug sales and user activity. Area as clear, no suspicious activity observed 

1243 Premise Check/ 7700 block Riverdale Rd / area was clear, no suspicious activity observed 

1255 Check Welfare/ 5200 block 85th Ave / two juvenile females were released from school due to an early dismissal. The mother was unaware school had early dismissal. The children were placed in a cruiser until the mother responded to the residence. REPORT WRITTEN

1315 Assist/ 5400 block 85th Ave / Crisis Response requested assistance with a resident who suffers from mental illness. Crisis Response filed an emergency petition after evaluating the resident. Officers transported the resident to UM Medical Center. REPORT WRITTEN

1410 Fight/ 7800 block Riverdale Rd / several juvenile females were on the playground area, when two started fighting. Officers arrived and separated the juveniles and made contact with their respective parents. REPORT WRITTEN

1421 Return Call Residential Alarm/ 6100 block 85th Pl / doors and windows checked secure. Unknown reason for activation, no visible FAR

1423 Accident / 5400 85th Ave / Unit 1 struck Unit 2 in the rear as they were attempting to turn left. Both units were impounded. REPORT WRITTEN

1630 Accident/ Veterans @ Annapolis Rd the accident was in the Glenridge Shopping Center, officers assisted with the exchange of information.

1850 hrs., Business check/ 7-11, check clear.

1905 hrs., Business check/ CVS (Foot Patrol), check clear.

1945 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of Karen Elaine Dr., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

2001 hrs., 7500 block Riverdale Rd/ Assist Fireboard with possible forced entry.  Once they gained entry into the building they went to the residence they were called for but the door was locked.  The female inside was elderly and had a special code to get the key out of a secure box.  The Fire Department was able to gain entry into the residence without having to force a door open.  The female inside required medical attention that fireboard was able to assist with.

2034 hrs., 6600 block Adrian St/ Scammed for money, caller stated he was called by Apple and told to purchase an ITunes card to pay Apple for services they provided.  Prior to realizing they did not provide the caller with any services, he purchased the card, called them back, and read them the numbers on the card.  The total amount of the card was for $100.00 and the caller is out this total amount of money from the illegal transaction. REPORT WRITTEN

2040 hrs., 5900 block Westbrook Terrace/ Child Abuse, caller stated they observed a child at the residence with several severe bruises and lacerations to their face and body.  Officers arrived on scene and attempted to make contact with the occupants inside, after several minutes the resident answered the door.  Once inside the Mother insisted the child, we were there to check on, was in another state.  Officers checked the residence and located the child hiding in a closet.  Officers checked the child and found several bruises and lacerations to the child in question.  There were several other children in the residence as well, therefore Child Protective Services were contacted and when Officers took the children to the hospital, Child Protective Services responded for the children.  All the children were taken to the hospital for any treatment needed.  Lt. Butler and Detective Sgt. Robinson were notified and assisted on scene. REPORT WRITTEN

0345 hrs., Residential check/ 5300-5400 Block of 85th Ave., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

0400 hrs., Residential check/ 5500 Block of Karen Elaine Dr., Citizens complaint of Suspicious Persons loitering in front of buildings and around the vehicles, check clear. 

0425 hrs., Business check/ Shell Gas Station, check clear.

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. 0645 Hours -Premise Check- 8400 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0722 Hours -Premise Check- 8500 Block of Annapolis Rd: Officers checked the area for suspicious activity, but nothing was found. 0813 Hours -Vandalism- 7900 Block of Legation Rd: Officers responded to the listed location for the vandalism of a vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into.
