0641 HOURS- MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE.-  REPEATED COMPLAINTS OF MALES DRINKING, SMOKING C.D.S., AND GAMBLING IN THE AREA.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CANVASED THE COMPLEX, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THAT TIME.

0705 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8400 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

0745 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 6200 BLOCK WESTBROOK DR.-  ALL CLEAR.

0822 HOURS- MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- OAK LANE PARK- REPEATED CITIZEN COMPLAINTS OF MALES LOITERING AND SMOKING C.D.S. AT THE PARK.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CONDUCTED A CANVAS OF THE AREA, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY AT THIS TIME.

0900 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7900 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

0934 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

1034 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS PERSON- 7700 BLOCK RIVERDALE RD.-  OFFICERS ON PATROL OBSERVED A MALE LOITERING AND PANHANDLING AT THE SHOPPERS FOOD WAREHOUSE.  THE MALE WAS STOPPED, IDENTIFIED, CHECKED NEGATIVE, PHOTOGRAPHED, ADVISED AND SENT ON HIS WAY.

1115 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 5500 BLOCK KAREN ELAINE DR.-  ALL CLEAR.

1148 HOURS- UNKNOWN TROUBLE- DARCARS DODGE- 911 OPEN LINE WITH STATIC FROM THE T/A.  ONE OFFICER RESPONDED, AS THIS IS AN ON-GOING TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH THE T/A PHONE LINES, AND DETERMINED THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY AT THE LOCATION.

1217 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- 8300 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  ALL CLEAR.

1220 HOURS- ACCIDENT- 86TH AVE./POWHATAN ST.-  CALLER STATED HE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT EARLIER IN THE DAY, EXCHANGED INFORMATION WITH THE OTHER DRIVER, AND NOW WANTED A POLICE REPORT.  THE CALLER WAS CONTACTED, AND ADVISED THAT NO REPORT WOULD BE WRITTEN AS HE HAD OBTAINED ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION FROM THE OTHER DRIVER, AND BOTH HAD LEFT THE SCENE PRIOR TO CONTACTING POLICE.

1235 HOURS- SUSPICIOUS PERSON- 8200 BLOCK ANNAPOLIS RD.-  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO TD BANK FOR REPORT OF A MALE USING A FAKE PASSPORT TO CASH A BUSINESS CHECK FOR A FRAUDULENT ACCOUNT.  OFFICERS DISCOVERED THE MALE HAD FLED THE SCENE PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL, A CANVAS OF THE AREA WAS NEGATIVE.  OFFICERS RECOVERED A FRAUDULENT PASSPORT AND DRIVERS LICENSE THE SUSPECT LEFT BEHIND; THAT EVIDENCE WAS SECURED IN NCPD PROPERTY.  THE SUSPECT DID NOT LEAVE THE SCENE WITH ANY T/A FUNDS. REPORT WRITTEN

1345 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- CHARLES CARROLL-  ALL CLEAR.

1411 HOURS- PREMISE CHECK- MARGARET BRENT- ALL CLEAR.

1446 HOURS- MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE.-  REPEATED COMPLAINTS OF MALES DRINKING, SMOKING C.D.S., AND GAMBLING IN THE AREA.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CANVASED THE COMPLEX, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THAT TIME.

1517 HOURS- MANDATORY PREMISE CHECK- OAK LANE PARK- REPEATED CITIZEN COMPLAINTS OF MALES LOITERING AND SMOKING C.D.S. AT THE PARK.  OFFICERS RESPONDED, CONDUCTED A CANVAS OF THE AREA, BUT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY AT THIS TIME.

1624 HOURS- IDENTITY THEFT- 5400 BLOCK 85TH AVE. -  CITIZEN REPORTED AN UNKNOWN SUSPECT REGISTERED A VEHICLE IN HIS NAME THROUGH VIRGINIA D.M.V., AND HE RECEIVED A SPEED CAMERA CITATION IN THE MAIL.  OFFICERS OBTAINED ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION FOR REPORT, AND ADVISED THE CALLER TO CONTEST THE CITATION IN COURT. REPORT WRITTEN

1651 HOURS- ACCIDENT- 5700 BLOCK 85TH AVE.- UNIT 1 STRUCK UNIT 2, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES.  OFFICERS RESPONDED TO SCENE AND FACILITATED AN EXCHANGE OF REQUIRED INFORMATION ON SCENE.


1837 hrs., Premise Check - 8500 block Annapolis Road / All clear

1931 hrs., Suicide – 7400 block Riverdale Road - Women wanted to kill herself after she claimed that her ex-boyfriend had been assaulting her for years yet she received assistance / She informed that she was not injured, refused medical treatment from ambulatory services on scene (no assault verified) and she was transported to U.M.D. Hospital for Psychological Evaluation. REPORT WRITTEN (A copy of this report will be forwarded to the N.C.P.D. Domestic Violence Coordinator)

2137 hrs., Premise Check -  5200-5400 block of 85th Avenue / All clear

2245 hrs., ROBBERY #1 ADVISED TO CONDUCT PREMISE CHECKS ON 7-ELEVEN’s THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY DUE TO INCREASED ROBBERIES

2246 hrs., Premise Check – 8400 block Annapolis Road / All clear

0058 hrs., Unknown Trouble - DARCARS Dodge - 911 call (again) / Nothing found All clear

0150 hrs., Attempt Armed Carjacking – 5400 block 85th Avenue  - Officers responded to the New Carrollton Metro Station where the victim reported that 5 suspects approached armed with handguns, banged on his car window/door and demanded that he get out of the car. Fearing for his safety, he drove away making good on his escape (uninjured). / NC3 notified, R.S.T. notified and responded. The incident was classified as a 1st Degree Assault due to no other demands being made. REPORT WRITTEN

0310 hrs., Unoccupied Vehicle – 5500 block Karen Elaine Drive - Officers noticed vehicle double parked and investigated due to recent theft from autos. It was discovered that the vehicle, which was being operated by the on-duty maintenance worker, had a pickup order on the tags and they were confiscated and entered into N.C.P.D. property. REPORT WRITTEN

0534 hrs., Tow Dispute – 5400 block 85th Avenue - Caller reported having a dispute with tow company / Handled by day-work

0657 Hours - Stolen Auto - 7700 Block of Riverdale Road: An unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle during the overnight hours fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was provided case numbers and advised to contact her insurance company. Report Written 0807 Hours - Suspicious Person - 7700 Block of Riverdale Rd: An unknown caller advised a male in gray was asleep under the stairwell unresponsive. Officers responded and made contact with the subject who advised he was on the bus all night and needed a place to sleep. The male checked negative for warrants and was sent on his way. Officers spoke with the caller who stated his vehicle had been broken into.
